Is Poehling hurt again or just sitting so DOC can get his allotted 4 minutes?

That was disgusting CDS...but at least now I can go play Gran Turismo rather than waste my time on the 3rd period lol

And McGinn with a whopping 5 minutes through 2 periods, DOC with 4. Every game brings me much closer to jumping on the Sully must go train. He really is just too stubborn to coach this current team.

Puck drop was around 11:40pm here....there was 20 mins between the end of the Canada/Czech game and the Pens game...I was smoking Frosty Gelato...didnt make it to the Pens game zzzz...fell asleep waiting and woke on couch around 3am...by the looks of things I was better off with a good night's sleep haha

Sullys comments say they played a sh!t 1st period and then a great 2nd and 3rd...this really seems to match all the underlying numbers I'm looking at right now. Overall the Pens were better 5 on 5, much much better in the 2nd, and a fair bit better in the 3rd...just not in the first when they had 3 scored on them. Hard to overcome that in another team's barn in a different time zone on other side of country. They had a xGF% of 74.4 in the 2nd...but didnt score and had one scored on them haha.

I havent seen any highlights yet but do you think it might not of been 3-0 after the 1st if Jarry was in net? or 4-0 before the Pens scored? Without seeing any of it I feel of those 4 goals at least 1 should of been saved but I could be totally wrong haha.

Newest one? PS5? Looks pretty good. I'm an xbox series x'er, so Forzas are my go to for that kinda game.

Couldn't really blame DeSmith for 2 of the 3 goals.

1st goal - Ruhwedel got double teamed on the dump in, Carter's controller came unplugged, POJ tried to cover the front of the net even though both forwards were like 50 yards apart, dude fanned on the shot and it went over to Phil for an easy tap in.

2nd goal - Bad pinch by Petts with 3 forwards below the circles, 2 on 1 the other way which led to semi breakaway and Eichel sniping CDS hard. CDS probably should have had this one, but I think he was slightly off his angle and got sniped.

3rd goal - Tic tac toe PP one-T all alone from the slot

Gotchya and thanks. So a bit of puck luck for Knights on the first one, bad Pens puck management on the 2nd and an uncontested one-T from the slot goal against on the PK.

Puck luck and lack of positioning. Carter could have helped Ruhwedel on the forecheck but just watched him get molested. POJ left his man to cover the front of the net and the puck squirted by him.

hahaha one thing is for sure, they were would of been a few more hits. Having said that the 4th line of Poehling, Blue and Archy was quite good for the Pens. They would get touch match ups against the other team's top 2 lines and usually be controlling the puck in other teams zone. That's killing valuable time away form the other team's stars.

I do think this Pens team is very good when pretty much everyone is healthy...but everyone healthy at once isn't realistic....for any team in the league, really, and especially the Pens haha.

Pens believe it or not have been one of the healthiest teams this season:

Cooked Carter needs some time up in the box with some nachos, me thinks. I like POJ and think he shows some decent promise but he still has rookie wrinkles. However, his skating is strong enough to cover wrinkles sometimes. He had the 2nd lowest amount of 5 on 5 mins last night...Dumo, who cant skate for sh!t anymore had the 2nd highest. Ty Smith had the most, surprised to see that.

Thats cool but besides my point. For instance since the break they have been down their top 2 RD...plus another RD for a few games. The very effective 4th line hasnt been healthy for weeks. They just dont have the organizational depth to cover for it.

hahaha yeah that's sh!t...and kinda like last season...Pens were down 5 of their top 9 and whole first PP unit for a few weeks at one point haha. I think it was the season before 5 of their 6 dmen were down for a long period...they ended up using 15 different D-men that season.

Not that having half the top 6 missing wouldn't fvck with any team in the league but Wings definitely have better organizational depth at this point in time.

Ruhwedel has been bad. He was decent last season in a sheltered role, but he's been exposed with the increased role. Game after game Dumo proves he's not good any longer. Last night was no exception.

Ruh has been great once again.

POJ - Ruh has been the 2nd best pair behind Petts - Petry

What they need is someone to play with Letang. Too bad they wasted cap space on Rutta.

I thought Rud looked really good before the break...and he's missed 3 or 4 games since I think?

I loved what Petry was bringing the past month or two...even if he had slowed down a bit form previous seasons, he was still doing a lot good on the ice to my eyes. The PP went hot when he was moved to top unit as well.

Try Smith with Letang? He led the team in TOI last night and doesn't look out of place at all. Letang's best partner last year was Matheson. Smith plays a similar game. Good skater, brings offense. If you find Letang's partner in house, it saves the cost to acquire and hextall can (hopefully) focus on fixing the 3rd line...

This also assumes the coaching staff realizes smith, petts, and poj are our 3 best LD.

Definitely cant assume this, in fact, I assume the opposite hahaha...Dumo was 2nd TOI to Smith, about 30 seconds difference
