What is your list? Is it ranking players based on this year only? Because there's zero chance that Bedard's going to be the third best player in the NHL next year.
On the other hand, there's a pretty slim chance he has a better career than Crosby or Ovechkin. Bedard's not quite a generational talent. He's coming into the league a little lower than MacKinnon when he started. He's not going to single handledly turn around his team and will probably struggle for a few years since his team is likely to be hot garbage. |

I believe Bedard is a very similar player to Crosby, but I also believe Crosby accomplishes a lot due to hard work and tenacity. I see that same trait in Bedard but with even more skill.
I predict that within 4-5 years he'll be the consensus #1... as long as he's not drafted by the Canadians.  |
