exactly, can't fix everything quickly, the goal is to maximize the potential return of the assets you have that won't be here long term. At this point, for me anyway, Monahan and Eddy should be the main priority unless you are able to unload Hoffman or Armia.

You could retain salary for Hoffman to facilitate a trade but the return would still be pretty low but if you do the same with Eddy, you will get a much better return. Both would carry a cap hit for one season for the value of how much you retained in cap space.

his injury is not supposed to be dangerous for a recurrence point of view, sounds like a broken bone/foot. Teams know what they are getting...and with 50% salary retention...his cap hit would be just over 3M. I still think they are getting something good for him. Might have to settle for a 2024 1st though

he's your 3rd line centre, I think you are ok. But more than that and you are after the cup? He might not be that guy
