Fabulous show. So authentic and realistic, right down to the hitchhiking. So what if nobody ever picked up on the fact that his fake last name always started with a "B", even if it was never "Banner". - hscesq
and why was his first name david when in the comics it's bruce? |

In the comic book, the Hulk's alter ego is named Bruce Banner (although his full name is Robert Bruce Banner). For the show, however, the character was renamed David, leading to an Urban Legend that it was because the name "Bruce" was considered too homosexual. |

that's an amazing urban legend.
speaking of urban legends, there is a story that they retroactively came up with the robert first name thing because in one panel of a comic they messed up and referred to him as bob instead of bruce and it went to print before they caught it. |

interesting... I think the same kind of thing happened with the grey/green Hulk, no? some sort of miscoloring?

iirc, the first issue or 2 went out with him different colors on different pages because of a problem with inking him grey (the color they wanted him). he ranged from green, to greenish-grey, to grey. they couldn't figure out how to make the grey come out the way they wanted so they just let him be green going forward and acted like nothing weird happened.
at least i think that's the story i read. |

I just checked and that's exactly right. but later on they came back with the grey Hulk as another "personality", a less savage version that could speak proper English, compared to the green one lol.
