…combo of those guys not too bad I would think for the Leafs - defensive dman (you guys don’t need offence from back there you’re good already) & some 2nd line help and physical muck for your 3rd/4th

Ya it wasn’t necessary all the players from each team in a trade kinda thing - it was more of a ‘those players listed’ would help the Leafs in my opinion.

In defence of JVR he would probably come fairly cheap definitely help PP and be a net front guy to play on 2nd line - causing coverage infringement of net opens up more ice with possession in o zone and he’s good on the wall to go with JT who is great along the boards

JVR is more of a pigeon sitting on blue almost where JT kicks out a bit to side or bottom of slot…just how I see them in game anyways and on PP he’s solid. I just like the idea of Marner making those quick passes in tight to JVR for you guys
