Hope I am wrong, but I am getting Vibes that the Sabres are gonna let another season of possibilities slip away. - Buff36
Frustrating for sure.
I know this was a develop year, but how often do you have 4 players having career years all at the same Time.
One small move could have made a world of difference. |

My guy was wrong, that rumor was not from me. Sorry.
We're literally the only team in the NHL carrying 3 goalies.

You're the guy, when you post it. You both become wrong.
You inferred that carrying 3 goalies was unorthodox.
You went further and suggested the Sabres wouldn't keep 3, because it was unorthodox.
I felt the decision wasn't usual, traditional or accepted.
It was a hunch, based on following the team and their tendencies.....

Timmins might have been a good move. But he's always a slight breeze away from LTIR so I understand why they didn't pursue that. |

It’s not like trades are happening all over the place
And waiver wire moves generally don’t make much difference - jdfitz77
True, but a couple this year probably would have. And Connor Timmins was just traded about a month ago for basically Brett Murray. Fabulous pickup for Toronto. |

Even just claiming one of the several players on defense that were put on waivers when they were bleeding d-men during that 8 game losing streak.
Waive them if they are no longer useful once healthy and I assume they get claimed by their original team. |

Am I incorrect in the opinion that a team carrying 3 goalies is unorthodox?
And we're still not, full time.

Timmons fitting well on the Leafs doesn’t mean he’d have fit well here though
How well would he really do with Bryson?? |

Ethan Bear (born June 26, 1997) is an Indigenous Canadian[1] professional ice hockey defenceman for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted in the fifth round, 124th overall, by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Well for Brett Murray I would have given it a try. Before his injuries the kid was slotted to be a top4. |

Carrying 3 goalies is absolutely unorthodox.
You would have been correct on both parts of your post, if the unorthodox(ness) led to keeping just 2 goalies.
But, here we are, starting 3 different guys in 4 nights. |
