The Bills defense allowed just 3.35 yards/play to the Dolphins. That's incredibly low. Only 7 other times did a team allowed fewer y/p in the last 16 years of NFL playoff games. All won. Critical offensive mistakes gave Miami tons of chances and why it was only a 3 point win

Offense, Special Teams weren't so special. A lot of mistakes. Bills are good enough to beat teams playing crappy football. Most teams probably worry more about what version of the Bills will show up.

This still shot shows Allen refusing to take the easy 8-10 yard play. Frustrating and he needs to rely on his backs and check downs. https://twitter.com/jerem...&t=f6tnUC8BwkeTrcuF9HT43g

Ryan Merkley has gotten some attention apparently. What do we think of him? I know nothing.

It's not a flex, and it seems you've missed the point, which is the game would've been a blowout if not for all the turnovers on offense.

If the Bills don't clean those up, it'll be a short postseason.

Matt Boldy nearing extension for MN Wild sounds like 7x7.

Possible Cozens Comp?

Knox, Diggs and Singletary are all open on that play to extend the drive.

I love the aggressive nature of Allen but the old adage of “Take what the defense give you” comes into play.

So should the Sabres take a flyer on JP from Edmonton, gonna have to shed some cap to activate Kane.

Where do you play him?
Is he better than Asplund?
In 21 fewer games this season, Asplund has 2 less points.

He is a younger version of Girgensons, bit probably skates better.

Doesn't it feel like a big reason they dominated in the early part of the season is due to Josh being more willing at that time to take the shorter, less aggressive throws, until the defense tried to take those away, at which point he went deep down the field on those opportunities?

Right. That’s my point.

do you know that Reid was known for choking in big moments and not being able to win it all in Philly, then went and won it all in KC?

Kyle Shanahan has choked away multiple big games. Do you really think he can’t win it?

- sbroads24

I was about to bring this very point up.

There is something to be said for a coach only being able to take a certain team so far. I do fear in the back of my mind that this is the case with McDermott, but for better or worse, the Bills aren't going to make that decision for another few years at least.

His name has been brought up here before, could be a cheap way to get a young player like Yost that might fit here better in this system. Always looking at different things, gotta keep up my trade a day as I have been told here. Just like hoping they would help the D out when they were in injury shambles, but was told we were fine and didn't need it.

My hope between yesterday and even last week against New England is that he's showing teams that he will go for the long ball and you still have to gameplan for that. These deep shots, though, are low percentage plays by nature, and hopefully they learn that lesson.

Boldy's production this season does not match Cozens.

Cozens is also a Center.

I'd think those two things may push Cozens higher. Perhaps to a long term number with an AAV that starts with an 8.

I love his aggressiveness to, but I have seen the same thing a bunch of times to. He will need to use that against Cincinnati.

Greed is.....good?

When the Chargers went up 27-0, a bettor bet $1.4 million on them to win the game to net $11,200.
Jacksonville came back and won 31-30.

The patience of living to fight another play by taking what the defense is giving you, even if that's a short 3 yard gain, or even a sack instead of still trying to make a play and ending up fumbling instead, is crucial.

I remember reading somewhere that he was on several teams’ Do Not Draft list. Apparently didn’t take directions well….Lone Ranger on the ice….haven’t seen him play in a while though.

Good article in the Athletic by Joe Buscaglia about exactly that, Dolphins stopped Blitzing and switched their D to take away short and medium throws...which meant the long ball routes were the choice with single coverage on the sidelines.
