Well as predicted (originally by Dan) the roster juggling has begun.

Quinn was "loaned" to Rochester. So he'll be sitting tonight.

Have to wonder how this crap is going over with the players.

At what point does Lyubushkin see the bench? He damn sure deserves to. Or just waive his ass. It would be a blessing if he was claimed.
- lacaprup

Let me tell you who's not getting waived this year

I guarantee it's a nothing burger. Benching rookies is every so often is common practice, especially when they sputter.

Not that anyone cares, but that question should be directed towards Asplund and Hino instead.

What a choice.

I think they know a trade isn't happening this year so they're just gunna rotate to keep guys fresh during the 12 in 20 stretch. It's all you can do really.

He's been crappy for four years and you want to yell at yet another defenseman who can't defend to save his life?

No thank you.

- TheSabresTaco

This is highly debatable. His numbers stink on a historically bad team this year, and he still drives a good amount of offense. He’d also be expected to produce middle pair results

Doughty and Karlsson were supposedly cooked and both are excellent this year and two years older than Klingberg.

Evaluating D isn’t easy

We should build this team around average goaltending, good defense and a trap game.

Average goaltending wins the Stanley cup.

Jordan binnington is better then hasek, he may win 2.

I'm not getting into a debate that Dallas wasn't good and he was average at best all around. His defense was pitiful in Dallas. It got worse four years straight.

Oh sure, but it wouldn't harm the team if he was. Not a bit.

His usage this year is also a little bit a lot insane. I suspect a savvy contender will add him and scale that back, get more out of him.

I am not so sure about that. They sit him on the bench at the end of games regardless of the score. That can't be a good indicator for him. He clearly isn't what they hoped he would be.

I'm as certain about him as I am about Comrie not being waived.

He's a low pairing defenseman and if they're going to let Bryson stay, they'll sure as (frank) let Loob stay too.

TDL is a different story. I'd lean on them keeping him though.

He's in for Clague tonight
- lacaprup

Clague is "hockeybuzz " good.

You know, couple posters have him as #4 , in front of joker.

The rest of us, watch the games. Power makes everyone look good.

Clagues 2 points in 19 games (both assists) That's not impressive IMO

I think it's more than players know not to say anything, in the unlikely event that they are even asked in Buffalo.

Please don't use points to evaluate a defenseman's ability to defend.

I think it’s silly to always think that the really good players in this league just decide to start to suck at 27-28 and ignore all factors around it

24 year old, 77 games in to his NHL career. He's had some good outings and some lackluster ones.

Don't think anyone has him slotted at #4 on this team...

Please dont pretend to be right on the goalie rotation.

You said it was unorthodox to carry 3 guys.
Now your pating yourself on the back , for comrie not getting waived? 🤔

You need great goaltending to win. I think what we've seen so often over the years is a guy standing on his head for a few weeks and then reverting back to reality the next years after that. Like Joe Flacco, but for goalies.

Quinn was already prodded about it earlier in the season.

We keep doubting Donny and we keep looking dumb. There's some personnel changes required but the way he handles his young players is pretty impressive.

People don't like to consider what a big change it is from AHL to NHL. A lot of these guys need to take a breather and let's all be honest, Quinn and JPP needed one.

Well, we've established that joker is no better then a bottom pair defenseman.

We've = you

Clague's next to get waived.

I'm not patting myself on the back, name one more team carrying 3 goalies, and I am still correct about the rotation.

Craig Anderson was and is still not pegged to play a majority of the games, and with the emergence of UPL, him and Comrie are probably headed for an evenish split.

I know this is a troll, but there's your response.

I understand the argument, players are peaking earlier than people once thought (new data, new style of hockey) but as good as public models are they can only capture so much of the context.

The way I interpret them is, here is player X's impact in his current role. Can't assume that their impacts will hold with an increase (or even a decrease really) in usage or line.

Call it the Colin Miller hypothesis.
