Torts was actually on 97.5 radio yesterday (was shocked that they were talking hockey) and he gave big ups to Briere for helping TK. He was gushing about Briere and about how he played the game and such. Apparently Briere worked with TK about getting into the higher traffic areas as a smaller player as opposed to staying on the outside. I found his gushing about Briere interesting to say the least. - Phillywhiteout

Frost is a center, not a winger. There is no penchant for bad turnovers. Frost has 6 giveaways at 5 on 5 for the season. Frost has played well all season. Last game, his line was dominant against the Caps. - MJL
He took the Leafs game and just decided Frost turns over the puck all the time |

I think I agree. At least they were smart with the Farabee pick. #14 pick but 5th highest scorer from that draft. - MBFlyerfan
A great pick, the reach for JOB was just ridiculous. Like anyone else would have taken him. |

Yep, even at the time many were saying he would have been available in the 2nd or even 3rd round. Again, I think a case of them thinking they were smarter than everyone else. Perhaps even feeling like the Farabee pick was so good they could afford to take a chance.
These kinds of misses kill teams when they happen too often. (obviously)

I think reaches happen sometimes when there is a poor draft. They obviously didn't rate Miller high and other than that, there wasn't much there. So' they take a chance on a player that might be a project but could be an NHL player down the road.

Of what? Sounds more like Briere would make a good assistant coach. |

Agreed. I'll take a source of improvement from anywhere, but this is something that should've come from the coaching staff. They don't seem like that kind of coaching staff though.

Unfortunately Frost has a dark cloud over his head, his lack of consistency. He has played better for the past few weeks no doubt, however where he continues to fall down is his penchant for bad turnovers and not finishing plays. I like that Frost seems to be more assertive out there and I like his speed through the neutral zone. He just needs to keep it up and start finishing plays and if he does that he has a chance either as a winger or to be traded as part of a package that will give him a fresh chance. - jd250
Most young players are inconsistent. Finding consistency is like the holy grail of player development.
Case in point: TK. Prior to this season he was always up and down in his play and up and down the lineup. He's finally found consistency in his 7th NHL season.
Will Frost ever find that level of consistency? Who knows, but there's a really good top-six NHL player there if he ever does. |

Well said. He's a 2nd year NHL player.

I'd like to see them hire from the outside someone with no prior connection to the team or current management. |

Kevin Hayes for JT Miller... trade one overpaid guy who doesn't play defense for an even more overpaid guy who plays even less defense.

Miller is better offensively, but no. Just signed a new 7 year 8M AAV deal. Perfect fit for the Flyers.

Is Hayes really a second line center on a true contender? I think not. - Phillywhiteout
He's top 9, and these days spending $4M on a top 9 player that can play either center or wing, move up and down the lineup and play PP and PK is good value. |

I agree 100%. From what I have seen from Frost, if he can ever figure it out he can be a good 2C in this league. In the end maybe not for the Flyers while under Torts, but somewhere else if he can find that consistency. |

It's going to be a tough sell if the Flyers are looking to move Hayes.
