Deflect it even. I think that’s where we’ll see a goal or two, and probably is the reason he’s there. He’s actually good at that from what I’ve seen anyway |

Nice!
I had my daughter freaking out yesterday when I told the family I was looking at things to do in Manhatten when we are down there for March break. I'm like "Oh man!! Look at this! I can't wait to see this place!!" She was a little disappointed to say the least when she saw I was talking about the Museum of Mathematics. - Tonybere

You gotta find a nice balance. Where math and sports intersect, that's the good stuff for me. |

Kravtsov makes me tingle. He passes the eye test game in and game out. He's gonna start potting some goals. - JRR1285
Kravtsov is the perfect example of a guy not putting up points, but you can see his hustle and skill and just feel one day he’s going to put it together. (Similar to how I felt about Chytil and Kakko). I haven’t seen that yet with Laf which is what worries/concerns me. I want to see those shifts where even if he isn’t scoring you see the skill, or the work ethic, or a game where he’s engaged all over the ice etc. Thats what I’m waiting to see from him, not that he has a 5 pt game one day, just start stringing together a few games in a row that he’s noticed in a good way. |

No offense, but I'd probably never speak to you again if you took me on tour of the museum of math. Museum of Natural History? Oh hell yes. - tomburton99
As much as I am kind of a math nerd and might actually enjoy the place, I had no real intention of trying to take my family there! |

I don’t think we’ve seen it this year. But we’ve seen it previously. He was a different player than he is now in the playoffs, just the simple eye ball test. I think that’s what the frustration is with him, that its in there but he’s regressed this year. Guys can make it with skill while not being the fastest guy. |

Yeah I like math depending on the situation. At work: dealing depreciation, fixed costs, variable costs, p + l statements, accounts on hand etc. Hate it. You give me some sports analytics, I'm in. |

The playoffs were a completely different animal for him. I had that, here we go! feeling about him during the playoffs. But now 40 games into the regular season I haven’t seen it again. Like I said, just string together some games where he’s noticed in a positive way and take it from there. |

the onus is on Lafreniere, now he's up with Zibanejad, so he's finally playing with a good player, except everybody saying that loves Chytil
it kinda makes ya dizzy |

Chytil is good and getting better. Mika is leagues ahead of him. Both can be true. Do you want to play with mika or mcdavid? They’re both good so surely it shouldn’t matter which one right? |

I remember reading posts saying the same thing about Laf actually a year or so back.
I think he is rattled and having a difficult time finding is role on the team. So he plays second guessing his moves. Young player issues. Kravs may go through the same ups and downs next year trying to find that consistency that seasoning teaches a player.
I think once Laf finds his role, his confidence will go way up. He has too much talent for him not to. |
