Jeremy Laura: CBJ early dominance and Laine Hat Trick too much for Detroit to overcome

After two periods I had enough.

If only they had shown up in the first half of the game, they probably would have had an easy win. Instead they again show up flat and put themselves in a big hole early. Uncle Fester might need to stop nicely telling them they need to start on time and kick some butts to make sure they do. Expand the list of players that can sit in the press box so it isn't just 4th liners and 3rd pair guys.

He needs to sit Chiarot down and tell him to be a stay at home defensive defenseman. -2 tonight. Offense has never been his game so he needs to stop trying to play like a 4th forward.

The Leaf-Bruin game was a real NHL contest, I wish I would have watched that game in it's entirety.
How can Detroit play a magnificent game against the Leafs 2 nights before and then forget about how they play defense to win?

Nice loss to a AHL team. Not awful enough to tank for Bednard but not good enough to sniff the playoffs. I suppose there is progress this season but it's certainly not enough.

Ned put on waivers today. He's played well in GR. I can see Buffalo claiming him. They have the cap space and need for another goalie with Andersson being 41 years old, Comrie sucking and so has their youngster Luukkonen.

Weird start time for the game today against the Avs... 3:00 PM EST. Glad I got a DVR. Even an injury depleted Avs team will probably beat the Wings who can't seem to put together a full 60 minute effort on many nights.

Ned clears. No surprise there. Record this season is 2-4-3?. Anywho it opens a spot up for Zadina's return.

Watching the red wings goaltending continue to cost us games. Husso did play good at the start of the year and became we were Red wings fans though his play was amazing yet realistically was like most good goaltenders across the League . Now that Husso continues to give up 5-6 a game. ( and have the goals are his fault). As Marc A Fluery said recently if a goalie lets n more than 5 a game it’s on the goalie. The fact is our goaltending is horrible. Also we might as well bring Vrana up and play him on the number one line. It definitely can’t be any worse and if he regains his confidence it is a big win. He is still young and would be a big pickup. Yzerman has too stop with the politics and do what is best for the team

also a talent difference. wings dont have a makar or a mckinnon-like player on their team. but, we dont want to tank for bedard.

also, through 41 games the wings have the same amount of points as last season at the same games mark.
