Bill if you’d be able, any updates on Dave Scott’s position with the team?

There were rumors that he was slowly looking into retirement.

Doesn't Brent Flahr have a good enough drafting record to garner some hope that he will draft a player that has a good chance of turning pro? I think he is a really good drafter.

2018 24th-overall, Filip Johnansson: bust,
2016 15th-overall, Luke Kunin: Bottom-six forward,
2015 20th-overall, Joel Eriksson Ek: middle-six forward,
2014 18th-overall, Alex Tuch: top-line forward, but given away after only 6-games by Chuck to Vegas,
2012: 7th-overall, Matt Dumba: average top-4 defenseman,
2011: 10th-overall, Jonas Brodin: defensive defenseman,
2010: 9th-overall, Mikael Granlund: middle-six forward,
2009: 16th-overall, Nick Leddy: top-4 defenseman, traded away by Chuck for Cam Barker before even playing a single game.

Then we have the instance of Flahr valuing Brayden Point and Louie Belpedio equally at the 2014 draft, allowing Yzerman to jump in and trade up to take Point.

The only player that Flahr/Chuck drafted that really moved the needle for the Wild was Kaprizov, but according to Kaprizov they "forgot about him" after the draft, never bringing him over. It wasn't until 5-years later that he was finally signed by Guerin.

So yeah... I'm, not confident at all in Flahr and Chuck.

Can you imagine when Guerin was hired and the Euro scout was all like "yooo you GOTTA see this guy?!"

Bill,

What's up with Zayde Wisdom? I recognize he's recovering from last season shoulder surgery but he's been invisible after all the early hype.

Thanks in advance for any input you can provide.

But to your point, I have no trust in Fletcher as a GM. Didn't in Minny and don't in Philly

Missed half of last season. Finished strong back in the OHL. Needs to improve his conditioning. Good attitude. The ECHL assignment wasn't a punishment; it was more a way to get him some much-needed work. He's always been a project.

Good summary. But JEE is a 2C on any NHL team besides the Oilers and Pens.

I’m hoping Wisdom can finish the season healthy and have the offseason of his life. He might not be a favorite to make the big club, but if he is in great shape, he is a guy Lappy can really help.

There are 4 forward lines in hockey. 3 forwards on each line. So what is a middle 6 forward? A middle six forward are the forwards that make up the 2nd and 3rd lines.

Just a perfect shot by Zacha but the breakout is the key to the Bruins success. Work the puck to the middle of ice, which draws the defense and then hit the winger with speed.

Down 2-0 after one but I actually thought the Flyers played ok in the first. Boston just made nice plays on their goals. Hart base sue nice saves and I thought Swayman was lucky to save that shot by Tippet. We’ll see how the rest of the game goes.
