Yes, the Bruins will need help at center and will want some experience there, especially since they have nothing, and I mean nothing, coming up in their system. A player like Hayes at roughly $4M per season for 3 years is good value for the Bruins and an opportunity for Hayes to play for his home town team, which is brother was also able to do. All I am saying is its a potential fit for the player and the team and thus is a possibility. Whether Boston or another team, Hayes is not going to be in Philly next season, you can pretty much bank on that, and the Flyers will not have to sweeten the pot to trade Hayes other than to cover salary. Bookmarked. We know what happens. He's not good value at all for the Bruins. Not their kind of player and they're going to have cap issues.

Like I said, maybe its not the Bruins, but Hayes has a market and the Flyers can and will trade him. I hope its before the deadline this season but if not, definitely in the offseason. As far as the Bruins are concerned, they are all in for this season, and in Boston the media is stating its the Cup or nothing at this point based on how the team has performed, which even I will say is outstanding. But next year I see the Bruins taking a big slide given the holes at center they will have in their roster.

You're guessing that he has a market. As Flyers fans, we know full well that it only takes one idiot GM to agree. Unfortunately, Fletcher works for the Flyers. Nothing is impossible but with the quality of Hayes as a player, which is not what you think it is and the cap picture around the league. Trading Hayes is going to be a tough sell. Highly unlikely to happen at the deadline. It's most likely going to be painful for the Flyers and include more than just having to retain salary. Having to include an asset or take a bad contract back.

Do you think that Sweeney was sitting up in his GM suite and salivating over the prospect of acquiring Hayes for three more years? I can bet. More likely that he has interest in Frost or Cates over Hayes. Very unlikely that they see Hayes as a solution, especially at center with the way the Bruins play.
