He writes some fun dark war fantasy. This one is basically just a three day battle span between two opposing forces following a bunch of characters on both sides. Pretty easy read with some good dark humour and medieval warfare.

Depends what you like... Timothy S. Johnston makes great sci-fi (Tanner Sequence are closed door murder mysteries in space and Rise of Oceania explores how underwater cities in 100 years are trying to attain independance from ground countries), and if you like history, you can't go wrong with Ken Follet and the Kingsbridge (Dark ages all the way through Elizabethan times) or Century series (WW1 to Cold War). Last book I read was Pierre Gervais's... won't win any awards for best writing, but quite interesting nonetheless.

Yeah and I'm wondering if I should read Jean Rivard, le défricheur Jean Rivard, économiste Jean Rivard, Scènes de la vie réelle now that I have my bed

any book should be instantly better if you aren't reading it while lying on the floor, that's for sure.

Karine,

Thoughts on that Slovakian girl who looks like she's going to end up being 6'2 killing all of the other young ladies at the U18's?
