Why would they think he would return anything? He would be without an NHL job if we didn't rehire him after last year. Nobody is giving you squat for a veteran tweener who can't play defense, hit anyone, or fight. What does Vinnie actually do well? He's not slow. That's about all I can say about him.

I am no insider but I have been saying all year. I would bet heavy on the Sabres not signing Portillo or Johnson... Looks like that prediction is going to come true...

Never said they would get much, but if some teams had wiggle room Cap wise, I think he would have been moved already.

I think Portillo is gone, still think there's a shot with Johnson. Adams certainly hasn't brought anyone in that would block his path to the Sabres.

Could be right, or he took his time and watched the Sabres go from s Sh!t Show when he was drafted. To becoming a Exciting young team that looks to have a bright future. Not like he needed the money right away.

Buffalo really needs to work on in front of there net, to many players setting up shop there. It's killing them.

I realize the league has changed how they call the game over the years so they can't physically beat the guy like they used to, however the D still needs to tie the stick up if a guy is in front.

Hopefully, the Coaching Staff is also Developing their coaching skills to better teach relevant tactics such as these.
