Maybe, but Fox and Makar are good comps going to the All-Star game @ 9m and 9.5m. 11 might be a big fight.
Hope 8x10m makes everyone happy. If you want Power long term, he's going to be in the same ballpark. - Lunaion
I think there's an equal chance he breaks the bank or is amenable to a shorter term then any of us would be comfortable with then he accepts a max term deal at the $9M or $9.5M range.
The cap isn't staying stagnant or barely rising for much longer.

Check out how balanced their lineup is from 1st to 4th line, and how much production they're 4th is giving them.
They made some nice FA signings with Burakovsky, Donato, Sprong and Schulz.
Their defense is big and imposing, and they had a very nice 2022 draft, including getting Ty Nelson in the 3rd round.
Impressive all around. - kingcong39
Burakovsky was a very nice add for them, he was 1 of a few that would have looked nice in Blue and Gold. Yeah I was talking to a Kraken fan trying to get Nelson included in a fake trade, they like him. Built a nice team, I am jealous how quickly they did it.

It's amazing how quickly Seattle turned things around after their expansion draft, which was strange.

Agree.
KA has done a pretty good job managing g the cap and not over paying for UFA. I think this year buys us a much better reputation in the market and we attract some decent bottom 6 plus some defense interest.
Realistically, you literally could not pay guys to come here. He played his cards correctly. We have the cap to pay Dahlin, Cozens, get the pieces we need, pay Power, JJ, Quinn eventually
The fans deserve it. Tage Thompson deserves it. And maybe most important of all: You guys are just weirdly good at midseason trades. They’re how you got Pat LaFontaine, Danny Briere and Rene Robert. You turned the Jack Eichel mess into a win. Even the Ryan Miller trade worked out OK. And if that’s not enough, we’re coming up on the 30-year anniversary of your 1993 trade for Grant Fuhr, and that trade directly preceded eight years of the greatest goaltending in franchise history. That last sentence is factually correct, don’t think too hard about it.
