Ya I don't think he would be an upgrade from Holl but adding another RHD has to at least warrant a conversation I guess.

In January, the Leafs have:

Lost to St. Louis in OT

Lost to a hot Seattle team (yes, stinker)

Beat Detroit, while holding the Red Wings to one goal

Murdered Philadelphia, while holding them to two goals

Beat Nashville, holding them to one goal

Lost a game to Detroit (yeah, embarrassing)

Lost a very close game to Boston - a team that is on track to be the best team in the history of the NHL

Beat Florida.

Excellent question. From what I've read (I'm not an expert):

In the 80s, it was very common for teams to pay the fines for everyone.

They can't pay for players' fines anymore due to CBA, but for coaches, your guess is as good as mine.

Fun recollection: when Domi sucker-punched Ulfie Samuelsson, he was suspended and fined.

The rumour was that the Leaf players started making up a collection to pay for it, and that players from other teams contributed.

Josh Anderson or Pierre Luc Dubois on our team instead of against us would be nice too IMO.

And a big NO to trading Lily. Use Sandin, if one has to go, to upgrade LD side and then use Engvall, Kerfoot and/or Holl + to upgrade the right side and shed some salary.

Friedman on TJMS says a couple of teams told him it would probably cost a 2nd or 3rd RD pick for Jonathan Toews. Friedman does wonder if the Winnipeg Jets do it.
