Yeah, as I pat myself on the back for that one, it doubles as consolation for the shame I feel. |

I'm going to reject this right away, simply because it has blue skates.
But if we are trying to enrage other fanbases, how about we do something similar to World Cup (soccer) jerseys - put 13 Stanley Cups on the bottom of the jersey.
We wouldn't even be breaking new ground - the Islanders say their four stripes on their shoulder represent their four Cups. - Atomic Wedgie
You antiblueskatemite!
It's not hard to enrage other fanbases for the Leafs, we do so simply by our geographic distance to the centre of the hockey universe baby!

Side note when I was a mod I loved it being this quiet in here the day after the Leafs trounced a team like the Jets.
As a non-mod it's boring.
Where are all the Whiny-peg fans? Had the score been reversed I'm sure we would have many more visitors in here to tell us how much of a soft, overpaid and terrible team we have here in the centre of the hockey universe which makes sense being Canada's team and all.
There.
I just did the HB equivalent of saying Beetlejuice 3 times or feeding a Magawi after midnight while dousing him in a bucket of water. |

Gonna stand up for Jets fans - they were great at the ACC last night.
Was chatting with a younger guy in the washroom (yeah, not weird at all) who was wearing a Hawerchuk jersey. I asked him if it was authentic, or a new one he had made.
"It's authentic - it was my grandfather's."

On that, we agree.
That whole "almost a playoffs team" early on in the season wasn't great.

The #Canucks have won 3 times in regulation since November 28th.
seems bad
but only 6 points out of a playoff spot
recipe for bad decisions. cant wait |

Add to that a GM saying he's talking to other potential coaches but isn't sure if he's gonna make a change.
And the inevitable trade of their best player.
What a mess.

I wasn't talking about actual fans who you interact with in person - they are usually good peeps regardless of the team (although I have had 'incidents' with Ottawa fans over the years at the Crappy Tire Centre and the occasional Hab fan in a restaurant or whatnot post game - but in the Bell Centre they have always been good sports.
I was talking about those who dwell in mom's basement or under the bridge who come here when their team wins the "Defeated the Leafs Cup" and pontificate and spew hot garbage.
I actually have a Dale Hawerchuk old school jersey and it's a beauty. I loved the Jets back in the day and even when they had Big Buff but this latest version of them I can't really get behind.
Yes the whole completely stupid and pathetic viking helmet celebration yapping about beating Toronto on a Saturday night for the cameras has reinforced that dislike & if I was a Leaf or on the coaching staff I would play that clip before every game against them, & in every intermission.
Let the hate grow and consume you and motivate you! lol |

I get that - been there not too long ago. As long as you feel like the team is growing and the losses are predominately due to being less skilled or talented/loaded etc. than the opposition but everyone is trying their hardest it's an easy pill to swallow really.

Maybe. The Smoked meat is pretty great.
Either that or he's giving us a third round pick for Dadonov?

I think Martin St-Louis has done a great job making the young guys improve while maintaining a good morale despite the losses.
Things are looking up but we are still most likely at the very least 2 years away from being a competitive team.
