they need to Trade Horvat and Kuzmenko now.. no brainer and of course Schenn.
and if possible Miller.
such bad manag. if they dont - senstroll
You are so right.
I swear to God, this is a team that has literally no direction or concept of a direction or a plan.
This is the 7 year stint under Jim Benning: https://www.capfriendly.c...ks?date=05212014-12052021
I mean you look at his first moves - trade out high priced guys (Kesler, Garrison), bring in picks, lower the cap ceiling - rebuild it up. Except one week later, start trading 2nd rd picks and 3rd rd picks for fringe guys like Dorsett and Linden Vey - like skim through and I'm not sure if the Canucks ever used their 2nd round pick, they traded a lot of them. They only traded 2 1sts over that time - in the Miller and OEL deals - both of which were arguably overpayments.

Those are the trades of a guy trying to figure out what he has as a team. Fringe moves. He is wasting the value of his assets by keeping them longer than he has to and recognizing that even if this team were to eke into the playoffs, they are not a contender in any capacity. Even if Horvat, Miller, Boeser, Petterson and Demko were all healthy and on a heater simultaneously - they have no defense.

While we're on the topic of Montreal food, I enjoy https://www.newsystembbq.com/. - Zezel
my favourite pizza ever is the chef's special
i used to be 30 lbs heavier when I lived right around the corner from there
also the poutine at greenspot a couple doors down has to be one of my favourites in Montreal as well
pop over to blackjack across the street for a beer afterwards and then nextdoor to mostrip for a preggo lapdance and you got yourself a solid afternoon
and for anyone wondering, yes: living in montreal for any length of time transforms you into a hopeless degenerate |

Meanwhile the public humiliation of Beadreau continues. CJ reports that Tochett will arrive next week and that he will bring his own Assistant Coaches with him. That should fix everything. |

My buddy used to live near there and I would visit him for a weekend. If I lived there for a couple of months my bloodstream would be liquid cheese.

I would sometimes pop in on a sunday stroll to have a look, and I would always walk out with 200 dollars worth of cheese |

If you're Rick Tocchet, unless they are driving a truckload of money up to your house, and sodding the lawn in greenbacks - why would you want to work for an organization that would treat your predecessor like that?
Aquilini is a POS. That's not how you treat people. It's not how you treat people who have put so much energy and time into your organization. It's garbage.

Feels like just yesterday it was all "Bruce - there it is", the way he is being treated is just shameful. I won't lie, I think after this if he was offered an assistant coaching gig with the Leafs he would give it some serious consideration.
This will make the pool of folks who want to go work for the Canucks shallower for awhile. Kind of like when Ballard ran the Leafs.
Speaking of which there is a movie on Ballard on Sunday pm on CBC I think - I'm gong to PVR it and keep so. I'll re-watch it when I start to think things in Leaf Land are bad.....it will provide me with a stark reminder of how bad they can get (were).

I like the 91 Canada Cup Team Canada jersey personally and have seen a mock up of one made into a Leafs jersey that was ok. I'll see if I can find it.
Edit - found it. This would make the other Canadian team fan bases wild with anger as it would say without saying it that the Leafs are Canada's team. lol
- Cush29
like it ... but needs the old MapleLeaf crest integrated to some degree on the chest.
and quite frankly who cares if the other fan bases don't like it...
needs silver piping |

nah... doubt it. He's spent significant time in the Soo ... so its not likely he'd be looking for questionable smoked meat
I'm guessing he's there trying to figure out what the Habs need to take for Edmundson and Anderson with some CAP retained. |

Won't matter much if they pick another Slack off ski. 10 points and -13, he's off to a record rookie season for a 1st overall pick. Worse than either of Yakapoo or Daigle
