It was drivable when parked.

There's literally no hockey for us to talk about. We lost to the best team in the league. We are plagued by the same 5x5 and PP issues. Some people want Kane because of his pedigree and chemistry with Bread, some don't want him because charts and he sucks this year and their are better options. Round and round we go. Nothing new.

That’s fair. To say he couldn’t help this team right now is utterly stupid |

It's possible/not unreasonable to think that he would make our team better. With that being said:
- Are his career low numbers this year solely a result of team being hot garbage or is he regressing as well?
- Is the cost too much?
- Are there better and/or cheaper options that would allow us to add an additional piece or two that would help address issues up and down the lineup?

We’re giving nothing for him? Cmon man
If they did it with two firsts, one this year and one next I think we could live with that. Maybe another piece, not Chytil or any of the ones we loathe to trade, ie- Jones or Robertson in the deal instead. |

I’m just not counting this year, that’s where the disconnect lies. How difficult it must for him to get up for games in that situation. If one thing, he’d certainly be revitalized here, isn’t a doubt in mind that would happen |

I have to see how the team is playing getting closer to the deadline. At this point, I honestly wouldn't trade anything unless it was a deal for a player with term that would make us better. I don't see a good run in the playoffs with how they are playing now. |

It's big bet based solely on speculation. I have not watched him in any games aside from the ones we've played against them. All i have to go by are the numbers. If he was 5 years younger I'd be more confident. That's not to say I'm 100% positive he is regressing at the rate his numbers are showing, just that i'm not 100% positive of the opposite. |

Gotta remember they were up 2-0 on TB. That’s all I can go on is how close we actually were last year to think if we’re contenders or not. Kane would at least gives us 3 set lines you’d figure. Assuming Chytil or no one else in the trade obviously
We can’t be fraidy cats this year imo. Our older core isn’t getting any younger and it’s safe to say the young core is still behind schedule I think |

when it comes to Kane, Chicago should sign him to a 1 year extension for 7 million and THEN make the trade with the Rangers where they retain half
what made the MSL trade worthwhile for us at the time was that he was signed for the 2014-15 season and Tampa retained half of that |

Why is Kane signing that? He can absolutely get at least more term out of his next contract if not more AAV as well. Doesn't make too much sense to me |

I don't think he can get more than 7 million on the open market, but in my mind it comes with him only waiving his NMC to play for the Rangers so he can play with Panarin scenario
if he wants to play with Panarin for a year and a half, we can do 3.5 mil next season at best, like it or lump it |

Not if he's washed up.
Kane might be thinking that he's made his money, time to take less for a last run at the Cup with a possible contender next season. |

Well, I mean there has to be a balance. If the team isn't playing all that well why trade anything and shoot themselves in the foot. I do agree though the vets aren't getting any younger, so there will be pressure to do something. |
