Unfortunately that never happens.

If I can dream of Jenna Jameson in her prime, then I can dream of Marchand being decapitated from a center ice it and the crowd cheering and laughing.

That was a good period. Slower start than desired, but the Rangers played fast. Really good chances. Just need to bury them.

Ironically that 5v3 was needed because before that the time was lifeless.

Whenever we play one of these teams (and thank god this isn’t a nationally televised game) we always seem to go down early on a weak ass goal like that. Like we came out scared

Came alive as the period progressed. Take it to them in the second.

Yea. Sucks. But if they maintain that intensity and adapt with those type of chances, then it may go the Rangers way.
I'd say if we are at least within 1 going into the 3rd, the Rangers can win with this type of play

It will require a near perfect performance to defeat this Bruins team currently playing at a 138 points pace (at 35-5-4 for 74 pts. earned of a possible 88), which would shatter their longtime rival Canadiens' all time record for the most points ever in one season at 132 pts. in 1977/78. But it will be even greater difficult to defeat them without winning Special Teams play, with them coming in on both ends as hot as any team of recent in those two categories.

Boston PP: 6 for their last 25 - (24%)
Boston PK: 31 for their last 32 - (97%); and 87% overall for the season

The Rangers must stay out of the penalty box, & deploy greater creativity when on the power play to improve that part of their game of recent, for which Kreider's return will aid. That, provided the Rangers get more pucks to the net, and don't help the Bruins' penalty killing by overpassing and predominantly, if not solely, looking for one-timer shot opportunities on them. Rebounds & garbage goals close in result just as well as fancy highlight reel goals, of which Boston has yielded few of this season no matter the competition.

The Bruins are also 13-0-0 in games vs. all Metro. Div. teams, including 1-0-0 vs. the Rangers (in an earlier 5-2 Nov. win at MSG).

Montreal set the record for points in a season while only playing 80 games. Bruins will play 82 games this season, so they aren't shattering anything...

Not breaking up PP1 at this point is a more fireable offense than anything else Gallant has done.

He’s just set in his ways. It’s what gets him fired eventually.
