This team doesn’t have the same feel as last year, I’m still confident in them but I think it’s clear we need to add to the roster, what does everyone think of Sean Monghan? Also do you think they’re fielding calls for Laf? I wanted these two guys to be the cornerstone along with Fox, Miller and Shesty but they’ve been complete disappointments to this point, I really hope 1 of them pans out and I have more faith in Laf than Kakko

Didn’t think Panarin would get a spot but that’ll be fun to watch all 3 guys, I don’t worry about injury anymore cause no one goes hard at the Allstate game anymore

They definitely need to add an impact forward and another defenseman minimal. Tonight showed teams like Boston are a full step ahead of them. Need to get better if they want to have a chance in a 7 game series

Besides Lafs foot speed, does anyone feel like he’s slow on his moves with the puck as well? His stick looks like it’s going in slow motion compared to the rest of the guys out there. I notified it tonight on some of his cuts and stick handling.

I can’t believe Boston, they should be on a decline with the older vets, Montgomery is gotta be the runaway coach of the year

Rangers should try and make this an up-tempo track meet for the third period. Bruins are tired and we need to try and capitalize...

The Bruins were not a "TIRED" team tonight, Tom. Not with the momentum they played with for a full 60 minutes; including when necessary, during their 3 FOR 3 successful penalty kills. That upped their recent current PK success rate to 34 of their last 35 penalties killed, maintaining that 97% PK RATE they came into the matchup with over that span, as I mentioned just prior to the game.

It's not as if the Rangers didn't give a good effort. They simply first, couldn't finish when necessary to change the momentum of the game enough to their favor in their own building, especially against another one of the big boys during 5 on 5 play of key.
Second, the Rangers got off to an initial slow start in each period, despite beginning the 2nd & 3rd periods on power plays starting very late in the prior respective period; (a 1:12 PP to begin the 2nd, though only a brief 17 seconds one starting the 3rd).

But the killer in some games like tonight's was them allowing goals very early in a period, in yielding one just 1:19 into the game, and worse, one just 28 seconds into the 3rd to up their deficit to 3 goals, which came just 11 seconds after their brief 17 seconds power play to start the period had expired.

Good game.

Bruins Swayman kinda stole it in the 2nd when there were some very good scoring chances.

Signing Krejci to a very sweet deal made a big difference compared to last year.

He makes the 2nd line a lot more dangerous and Bruins can spread the scoring around.

What makes the Bruins so good is balance and cohesiveness, something we dont have.

Were trying to force lines to have balance, for them, its just natural.

Kakko looks better than Laf in terms of improvement. Their biggest issues are neither of them produce points. If they were on pace for 50 each the rangers probably have 10 more wins than they currently do.

Rangers will be ok. This was the type of game that gives Drury a confirmation on what our needs are. Boston will be tough in the playoffs (or they may bomb because they burnout by that time.. who knows). What that need is exactly, I don't know. Seems like I have a different opinion every night lol. Would love someone who could at least throw the body more than we do.

I have been meaning to say, I'm not sure Boston can sustain this for nearly 100 games (including playoffs if they make it to the final). They will slump at some point.

Panarin looks very undecisive and needs to just start shooting instead of making the same dumb passes.

one little thing I didnt like last night, it was a 4 on 4 with Lafreniere in the penalty box, and when his penalty was over they had him skate like a maniac to the bench to get PP1 on, should have just let him go right from the box to the offensive zone and be part of the powerplay

he needs to score on that breakaway, that's all there is to it, 11.6 million a year, you gotta finish that
