I meant to post this last week. DK has a weekly feature called "Friday Insider". He said a couple of team sources tell him Bluegs isn't the same player since the broken jaw. Not sure what a broken jaw has to do with passing and shooting. Maybe a fear of traffic.....IDK. TIFWIW, but he's pretty plugged-in with the Pens. - madmike71
I don't subscribe to DK, but he's hardly the only one reporting that about Blueger. I'd say fear of traffic too. Definitely not the same player we've been used to who prior I'd have wanted to see get a shot at 3C. |

Major mental aspect to physical injuries too and also, of course, everyone is different in how they handle things. |

Brian Boyle was a better 4th line center than Blueger as recently as last year. Archibald should make Blueger appear a little better when he returns, although I would even play Archie with him if I were making the lineup. |

I hadnt thought about big BB in a while....wondered what he was up to ...so I googled "Brain Boyle" then clicked news. This is was the top hit

Back to hockey though...if he's so good, why isnt he playing anywhere this season? |

Why did I think the points gap to 3rd in Metro, from 1st WC spot, was much larger? Pens only 4 points back of it with a game in hand. |

When I think of Brian Boyle, as a player, the first thing that comes to mind if him turtling against Matt Carkner after running Karlsson the game before, and then turning Chris Neil down until he basically had no choice. Great person to root for but as a player, no respect. |

I'd say Blueger asked himself why am I getting the poop kicked out of me when no matter how I play I'm not getting better assignments.

Running the other teams best d man and then drawing penalties? Terrible thing for a team to have. When has Blueger ever ran anyone? |

Getting your teammate tossed in the first period of a playoff game because you turtle instead of answering for targeting the other teams stars is indeed a terrible thing.
Edit: He didn't run Karlsson, just sucker punching him. |

My point isn’t that Boyle was a physical presence at all. But he could lace up tomorrow and finish the season with more points especially goals than Blueger. That was the original point. At least Carter finds himself in danger of putting a puck in the net at least once a game. |
