Kravtsov. - Tonybere
Really would be amazing if he stepped up.
He had a little chemistry with Panarin, but Trocheck doesn’t so maybe you try Kravtsov with Zib and Bread as the top line. It’s glaring hole if he doesn’t. Vesey or Goodrow can only be there in a pinch imo
These are the best lines imo and fill in the RWs
Panarin Zib
Kid line
Kreider Trocheck
Vesey Goodrow Gauthier |

I love the kid line as much as everyone else on here. But, if we're being honest, Kakko had pretty good chemistry with Mika and Kreider, while at the same time Kravtsov showed some pretty damn good chemistry with Chytil. Granted, GG made sure it was a very small sample size. But, that leaves Laffy isolated and outside the top 6. Not sure what's best long term, but that could really solidify our line up. |

Man Kreider had a bad game Missed the wide open net. Iced the puck. Didn't cover the guy on the game tying goal. |

They need to hold someone accountable for all the blown leads this year. |

He came back from the injury too soon. Has looked off since coming back. The week off after Friday should help |

While I would have started the kid line in OT, please someone explain how three very defensively responsible players all letting a player skate right by them is somehow the coaches fault? |

I don't think anyone is blaming him for the OT goal - my complaint was about their overall ice time being less than everyone outside the 4th line when they were clearly rolling all damn game. how do you not play them more |

How do they not play at all in the last 5 min? Makes no sense. |

I think that is the bigger issue. He was trotting out his vets like they had been playing well all game. He kept going to them as Toronto was constantly hemming them in. |

See this is where I can't follow the analytics...
Shots were almost even. High danger scoring chances 17 to 11, basically 60/40. Most of the Leaf Dmen fall on the bottom half of this Stat Card chart. Yet, the Rangers would only win 13.5% of the time????????
That's a BS stat. That was a pretty damn even game overall. - Tonybere
You could be correct. The Deserve to Win graphic is Money Puck. Their model is weighted defiantly. They place more emphasis on expected goals. And the Leafs were the superior team in that respect. |

Big complaint via twitter before than Game that Gallant insinuated the Fans want to kids to play more than the vets. Maybe not every game, but last night that blew up in his face. It's why his shelf life, is so short, in my opinion. He refuses to change. I don't get it. Like you're (he) is watching the same game we are. Where is the disconnect. |

he's also never going to let that kid line, in the 3rd during a tight game take a D zone draw b/c chytil is horrendous at faceoffs. it's going to be 93 or 16, just the way it is. |

Yeah. Probably my biggest complaint of him is not keeping that line together since the playoffs. I mean I get he was trying to get one of Kakko or Laf on that top line, but for whatever reason that line just clicks. |

A true miracle they made the ECF last year with him behind the bench. Miracles do happen I tell ya! |

lol, everybody was thrilled when Kreider got hurt so Lafreniere can finally play top line and Gallant wouldn't stunt his development

All he has to do is go forward with the puck. Worked last night
I haven't seen any stats this year, but I feel like the Chytil f/o thing is really overblown.
In saying that, I agree they wont be out there on a dzone draw in a close game in the 3rd |

That's fine. But put out a good faceoff guy and replace his wingers with 2 kid line members. They had it going all game. |

I don’t think gallant should be fired or as bad as people make him out to be. That being said he has major flaws and you can see why his welcome is worn out quickly.
AV made the ecf and finals. You could easily point to Lou and Hank being those reasonS. He was exposed elsewhere |

I don't there will ever be a coach anybody likes
good news is that in the playoffs there is no 3 on 3 overtime though
