I don't understand why making a trade is not considered doing it right. Who's to say hoping the players on your team continue to grow is doing it right? The other stuff you posted sounded good, but hearing they are convinced not doing anything is doing it right isn't too assuring.

I understand what you're saying however, Adams won't do anything foolish.

It depends on how the QB situation shakes out. I think Rodgers is pretty washed up but he might still be good enough to make a difference with the Jets.

Thing is they’ve had legitimately the worst QB play in the league and still are a very tough out.

If they get Carr or Rodgers and Breece Hall is healthy next year they could be an 11+ win team

That’s the other reason I like him. $4.4. Two years left. But Okposo’s $6 falls off this year. They could absorb that.

Admittedly, I haven’t looked that closely at their cap… duclair would be coming back, not sure that’s enough to back them into a corner.

It's all fun to discuss and project, but there's always this feeling everything is designed to do almost nothing.

This summer:
Anderson is already replaced
4th line has internal replacements

The following year:
Mitts + VO out, prospects in
Lyubushkin out, Joker slides down
Comrie out, Levi in
Bryson out, Johnson in
Find a top 4 RD.

Hoping they are a little more proactive.

Granato and Adams has both publicly said that they’re incredibly well liked around the building and in the locker room. And they like his versatility. Olofsson probably gets moved though

Haven't we learned our lesson about worrying about having a guy that can win faceoffs? If a guy you like has that quality, great. I don't see guys winning at a 47% clip and think that it is a problem.

And some scoring, without needing the power play to bolster his numbers, which is what you want from a 3rd line player.

Wonder if his actual dollars owed this season and next compared to his cap hit would be an issue?

I'm in no way sure of it either. Their contracts are up and 4 #1's are coming. Something has to give at point. I don't think waiting as long as possible is going to help them, when some kind of trade is inevitable.

It is. I will literally never look at a face off % statistic nor ever care.

I mean they legit will lose them on purpose in the O zone sometimes
