I think maybe okposo makes the decision easy and mutually agree on retirement. Not forced retirement.
Okposo would be much better if he was faster, didnt lose a step, had a better shot and scored more frequently.
Girgensons would have at least 25-30 goals a year if he had tage's shot and skated like skinner . - Boss34

That's interesting, the back to back for Carolina.
Sabres havent played since Saturday.
You would think Carolina would be tired from the back to back and we would be fresh. Hopefully late in the game.
Its gonna be a playoff crowd tonight 19090 including the 20 guys on the bench - Boss34
Agreed, but that’s why I think a fast start will help either squad. If Buf is up, easier to throw in the towel and point to 4/6, OT last night, and travel. If they get going could hold on. |

A 22 year old with 88 games played and you want him to not make any mistakes in his own end... I get the guy looks like hes 35 but hes a bit younger and inexperienced than that - DirtyDan

Would he have practiced 2 straight days if he was going to be out? I think the fact that they have a week and a half off after tonight pretty much guarantees that he will be in.

On this day, February 1st, 1976 the one and only Gilbert Perreault scored a team record 7 points (2 + 5) in a 9 - 5 shoot 'em up with the Golden Seals. Rene Robert had 5 himself (2 + 3).

Edit: Any of our ancient folk here who remember this game please tell a story or two. How were Ted's calls? Ricks? What at all do you remember from the game? Lurkers... this means you. - lacaprup
I was 7 in 1976 and I remember several games, mostly vs the Seals, Caps, Flames (and other expansion teams) that were shoot-em-ups....laying 8,9 goals on shmoes who had just schlepped out on a bus for 12 hours to get to town. Overall the play in the 70s was wicked-intense, physical and awesome (vs Habs, Bs, Flyers). Or there were lots of loosy-goosy games where someone (Sauve, Dejardin etc) would let in a bouncer that came in from the other team's blue line, and lots of sloppy play where you could tell the guys were smoking and drinking in between periods.
Ted Darling was awesome, and young RJ was incredible for radio but Darling was definitely smoother. Every time a puck went into the stands, Ted would say "and that one went to a lucky fan from Depew" (or Amherst, or East Aurora, etc). I used to love watching Howie Meeker's Hockey School (and Peter Puck) during intermissions. I used to get blisters on my feet from my skates and Howie once showed how to lace up skates properly and the blisters stopped.
That's what I remember, sonny. Now time for my Metamucil. |

Because olofsson is in his PP spot.
That makes sense and is unfortunate.
The 2nd best team in the east vs the canes. Hopefully they are running on empty. |

Not so sure about that.
Why risk a players safety when you have 10 days off
Feels like a must win to us fans.

If that was the case he shouldn't be a regular participant in practice.

Everyone is playing, but there is a difference between practice contact and game contact.
Especially when dealing with a head injury. |
