Tom did make a valid comparison. - Fenrir
It’s also about who else is available. Top 6 wingers are very blah this DL. Meier ok? What is he going to cost and how on earth are we keeping him |

does anyone really think if Patrick Kane goes to Blackhawks and says "Ill only waive my NMC to go to the Rangers" that the Rangers aren't gonna do it?
I heard Jim Dolan on WFAN the other day and he clearly expects a Cup this year
you guys factor in the wrong arguments with whether or not this gets done
Dolan is a million times more relevant in this than Luc Robitaille - jimbro83
I don't think anyone (even Tom) is arguing that it won't happen. It's whether we (the imbeciles that we are) want it to happen. None of that impacts whether or not it will actually happen. I'm sure Dolan is hounding Drury to do it or at the very least make a big splash |

It’s literally all because of one chart, maybe two lol. It’s so stupid
Let’s not even mention the revitalization of Kane leaving a dumpster fire and entering into a playoff run. That is also a huge factor that goes clearly unnoticed |

especially after the Islanders made a big splash
but people seem to forget that the whole Patrick Kane thing is predicated on the fact that he has a NMC and its assumed that he may play that card to get himself on the Rangers to play with Panarin
it doesn't matter that Gretzky-Robitaille didn't work 25 years ago, what the hell are we even talking about here
if its true that Kane wants to be here and only here, which is a big assumption, its gonna happen

Not for me. If we're talking about Kane the player, there's plenty of reason to be excited about him on the team. PERSONALLY, I don't really want to have to root for the guy because i think he's got some ugly baggage attached to him. That's just me though and i get that others may not feel that way |

Thats just it. If you are somewhat at the end of your career and you had a chance to pick where you want to go for another chance at a SC, would the Rangers be your choice? Looking at it without homer glasses, I wouldn't. |

to me that stuff isn't even relevant, because if Kane got traded to Pittsburgh, and we are in a 7 game series with them and trying to defend Crosby and a rejuvanted Patrick kane, the last thing I am going to be thinking about is our moral ethics

The only fly in the ointment should be his health. He seems to be fine as I doubt they’d risk playing him if something could get worse |

that's the whole argument, thats what this whole thing comes down to IMO
if Kane doesn't orchestrate his way to the Rangers, then it isnt happening
but MSL orchestrated his way to the Rangers, and in 2014 at this time of the season, Id say the team's chances were pretty similar |

I mean James Dolan always makes rational decisions and can be trusted. |

I think this team has more talent than the 2014 team. |

I just don't want to root for him idk what to say. Call it a personality flaw if you must. If PITT is swinging for the fences i'm sure they'd add someone else if not him |

I can't stand Dolan but at least he opens the purse strings. I will celebrate when he is gone though.
Hopefully he lets Drury do his own thing because Dolan + Drury can't be good regarding player moves. |

That team seems different than this one. This team just seams a little off for whatever reason. Can't put my finger on it, but I'm not as confident with this team. Either way, I just hope whatever moves they make are smart. |

we have Panarin and the best goalie in the Metro, and I am sure Kane is aware we were two wins from the finals last year

That's not the problem. He spends the money. Problem is he spends money on what he wants and not what he needs. |

While Kane is not an exemplary Human I don't think he is a complete PoS either. I'd have little issue with him suiting up here aside from the cost to acquire. |

Bread isn't even our 3rd best player this season. Fox, Mika, Shesty in no particular order are all probably more important to our success right now. He has been and could easily be that guy, but right now he's not. NHL beware if and when he gets going again |

For the most part the Rangers have been spared from his antics. Except for the JD thing. I will never understand those firings. |

Yeah I don't like him as person, but that's a non factor for me. I can't control if he's an bumhole. He has to live with himself. It's all about his (negative) on ice impacts this year. |
