Journalists arent a rumor mill, donkey

They are actually the biggest contributor to the rumor mill. Very little of what they predict ever comes true.
You think you are getting solid facts but very little ever happens in the end.

Really? Just because some rumor mill says 5 teams confirmed in on Boeser doesn't mean you know 5 teams are in on Boeser but there you are using it to mock people who think he doesn't have value because you know 5 teams are in on Boeser.
You just called your post I quoted pathetic and uninteresting.... I agree on the pathetic part but I did find that display of hypocrisy interesting. - boonerbuck
He is on pace for 59 pts in 82 games with 47 being 5v5. His advanced stats are all positive suggesting his scoring may pick up. They also suggest that his +/- has more to do with the team sucking, than him sucking.

This idea that he has no value only comes from people who think all Canucks have no value simply because they are Canucks. |

That mom produces tall athletes. Impressive. She must be very tall herself as Tyler is listed as 6'-8" and Grimes is listed at 6'-5". She looks like she's only one or two inches shorter than Grimes. - bloatedmosquito
Looks about six one. Mind you my ex-wife was five three and both my sons are six one. I still think the milkman had something to do with that

It blows my mind that this has to be explained to an adult. Especially when he is using hockey "journalists" as a an example. He hides behind the word like we are talking about credible investigative journalists who back up what they say with acknowledged sources going on record. All he is doing is crediting hockey personalities that are repeating rumors like that makes the rumor fact or something.
Good grief....

You are barking up the wrong tree here. I am not one of those people and most on here see me different than that historically. You are making a ignorant assumption about some of the people presenting a logical argument.
The Canucks have been having a very difficult time getting anyone to bite on Boeser for quite some time now. He would be long gone otherwise. What this idea that teams are lining up now for him is missing is what are the Canucks offering if said rumors are true?? Is it Boeser for positive value or have the Canucks now added retention and or a sweetner? I get the feeling... and its just a feeling based on logic but I get the feeling that something has been added that has teams sniffing around now. I assume no one wants his full salary for what he provides. But that is my opinion, not what I know.

From what I've read on rumor mills, is that there are teams interested, but want his AAV lowered by 1m. Canucks want an offer they feel is worth retaining that 1m. |

I imagine teams want retention that has Boeser fitting their cap space without giving up a valuable asset more than a set salary for his production. So I imagine retention requests differ team to team.
Some would argue retaining $1m or $2m and taking back a contract on a bum so they can fit him is worth it if a mid round pick is coming back just to get 2/3rds of his salary off the cap. I'll argue that they could have dumped him in the fall without taking any crap contract back or adding a sweetner so what the (frank) are these guys doing to this team?
The fact that they gave him this contract and have to get creative to move a mere few months later is all we need to know that they made a huge mistake on this... regardless of people trying to blame the previous management for it. |

If we retained 2m, we could probably get a couple 2nds or even a 1st for him. He is still highly productive with good advanced stats. He has warts to his game, but again he still produces. I think Boeser 1m retained for a 2023 2nd and 2024 3rd (Add a condition that it becomes a 2nd if blah blah blah) is around his value and a good deal for both parties. |

Boeser has never been the same since his initial big injury. Plus we all expected him to come back guns blazing after his father passed which hasn't technically happened yet. It may yet on another team but one thing we know for sure now it won't be here. |

All you have is sad insults. Journalists know more than you and everyone else who posts on here, it’s very simple. Do they stir up stuff by getting ahold of information like “I’ve heard 4 teams are kicking tires” to drum up a story: absolutely! Doesn’t mean 4 teams aren’t kicking tires though, in fact it’s fairly likely if they are a reporter with integrity. I’m supposed to go with the opinion of a dam instead?! You’re truly loving in a fantasy world, but I’m sure you know better. |

Your buddy Rick figures Canucks will be targeting size. Says Tocchet Wants guys who can win battles on the walls and battles in front of nets. - Reubenkincade
I could see getting more size for puck battles. I don’t want size only if unable to fit into the offense. Maybe something like Greenway? He’s been scratched & also his scoring is meh. |

I like Boeser and hop ehe does well on another team. I hope we get a decent return for him even if $ retained.
This was still a Benning error with his QO amount.
Hope for a decent pick + troubled prospect in the 20-23 range. - canucksfan1944
Only 3 retention spots. I wonder if that’s a big issue going forward if more are planned. I’m ok if retain say 650k of his 6.65m contract. |

IKR... I've explained credible journalism to people on here and the other thread over so many years I don't know why I bother. The concept is lost in recent decades.
Example: A popular news outlet on TV reports that a " unnamed source" has informed them that (insert political opponent or rival nation) is doing (insert baseless accusation).
No source. No documents. No video evidence. No testimony. Nothing, just a baseless report... yet one by one the other news agencies report that said outlet is reporting that _________. They of course fail to mention that the report was delivered completely baseless. People then claim that "it came from journalists".... in fact they are wrong... it came from a talking head reading a teleprompter. The person who wrote the report isn't even on record and remains nameless so there is zero credibility to this so called journalism. Do people recognize this as non journalism? No. Where there is smoke there is fire.... failing to understand that there isn't even smoke.
Later through intelligence comity hearings, or trials/tribunals, or said agencies that were reported as anonymously leaking their info deny ever having any information to support the report come to the surface but to the end of time people still believe the initial propaganda piece and repeat it til their dying day.
Society doesn't know the difference between journalism vs propaganda or click bait for monitory gain. We are (frank)ed....
