Would love to have an Alpha like Trouba on the backend. Changes the entire mix of the team when opponents have to keep their heads up crossing the blueline. Neil Pionk and a 1st (20OA) was the cost to get a 25 yr old Trouba back in 2019. |

lol true story just take a good look in here and around. 80% of people get their daily direction from CBC CTV and Global to run their daily lives. And the weird thing is they truly believe that the 'journalists' and MSM have their best interests in mind. The scam of the War in Ukraine is another perfect example of what's reported in the media is not actually what's happening over there. Gullible and mass psychosis all at the same time. - LordHumungous

All this talk of journalists and rumours is getting annoying. Here is how I think it works
1. NHL Exec leaks something to insider(Friedman, Drance, etc)
2. Insider talks about it, tweets about it, w/e
3. Other journalists write about it. I don't really consider the likes of Friedman and Drance to be journalists myself.
Now about the prediction of Trouba blowing up a Canuck. This is what I like about Trouba and his game. Most defenders get beat when they try to play the stick/puck in 1v1 situations. Sometimes it works and they get a controlled exit, other times they get burned and a solid scoring chance occurs. Trouba does neither. He plays the body and lets his partner retrieve the puck, and his partner knows what is going to happen so he reacts quickly. Sometimes he even has time to go get the puck himself. |

Why should Schenn have to scrap, he doesn't wear a letter, it is Pouty or Hughes job to do the responding. - Reubenkincade
Do guys with letters scrap?! You’d think Reaves would have an A by now, or literally any other fighter. |

The league needs more players like Trouba.
Although I am not a fan of Stillman, he is the only Canuck defender who will attempt to try a nice open ice hit, but his timing is off a bit.
Maybe with some more playing time, he can become a bit better at that, especially if the boys start playing proper hockey, instead of the pond hockey these guys continue trying to play.
BTW, that was no offense to Schenn, who just isn't a good enough skater to be able to crush guys like that, in open ice |

For the most part true journalism and journalist as a trade have gone the way of the dodo bird. The internet killed it just like the music industry. Tictok twerking is the new gold measure of journalistic standard.

The biggest thing with hockey. Is if you reveal your sources, or anything about them, you will never have sources again. |

Yep. And then you have the creation of a whole industry of sports reporters / rehashers that feed the public frenzy. |

I hope they miss, but not that Horvat gets injured. I want that pick as close to being 13 as possible. |

The will likely need to play 700 down the stretch to make it. We have pretty good odds |

We really need a good string of losses. I'm thinking 0-32 to finish the season is good. |

They are tied for a WC spot right now, with 28 games left. .700 seems a bit high, but they are in tough which is good news. Watch them make it and Horvat win the Hart |

Pittsburgh has 4 games in hand, they aren't tied for sh!t unless Pitts loses the next 4 games they play.
Edit not including NYI they play Anaheim, LA, SJS, and NJD for those 4 games (will still have games in hand, but just for arguments sake) I doubt they lose all 4 of those. I say they win 3 of them. NYI have a better shot at catching Washington who are 1 point ahead and only have 1 game in hand. |

My point still stands, they are right there and .700 is still a bit rich. I don’t think they will catch either, but you never know! |

I think they can catch Washington, but Buffalo also has 4 games in hand and are starting to play some decent hockey. You also can't count Florida out. They are in tough to make it. But we want this years first instead of next years. I say they have a good seasons next 2 years before they start to dip. |
