They are actually the biggest contributor to the rumor mill. Very little of what they predict ever comes true.

You think you are getting solid facts but very little ever happens in the end.

All you have is sad insults. Journalists know more than you and everyone else who posts on here, it’s very simple. Do they stir up stuff by getting ahold of information like “I’ve heard 4 teams are kicking tires” to drum up a story: absolutely! Doesn’t mean 4 teams aren’t kicking tires though, in fact it’s fairly likely if they are a reporter with integrity. I’m supposed to go with the opinion of a dam instead?! You’re truly loving in a fantasy world, but I’m sure you know better.

Journalism... love it. Keep posting this gold.

I've told you what I know... that rumor mills are not journalism. Journalism is backed by credible sources... not sources that cannot be confirmed or go on the record.

What you are calling journalism says everything about how gullible you are.

- boonerbuck

Journalist being called credible is something I thought to only hear in the political thread to support the official narrative.

Yes, Benning made an error with Boeser but that does not wash the error piled on top of it by Rutherford and Co and in fact, his error is even worse since anyone doing the smallest amount of homework knew that even at 6.65m, it's another handcuff on a poopty player and completely contradicting their assessment of this roster and their expressed plan moving forward.

He could have parted ways with Boeser in the summer. Trade for next to nothing or let him walk if need be. There is no argument that paying to retain and or throw in sweetners after was the affordable way to move him. THAT IS ON THIS MANAGEMENT.

- boonerbuck

Pretty much agre but…😂

The QO really began the big problem that is on JB for caving. His pick & banking on 30+ goals a year & ignoring the warts.

New Mgmt had a choice. Play hard ball better & let him sit it out but idk if any lesser contract would’ve changed this seasons performance. Signing only for 3 years said a lot. Nobody knows if they seriously shopped Boeser but I’d guess they did. Since he resigned I assume they got lowball offers & decided to let him play & up his value. Hasn’t worked out but hoping he gets it going in time for the TDL. Not holding my breath.

That leaves it most likely til the offseason.

IKR... I've explained credible journalism to people on here and the other thread over so many years I don't know why I bother. The concept is lost in recent decades.

Example: A popular news outlet on TV reports that a "unnamed source" has informed them that (insert political opponent or rival nation) is doing (insert baseless accusation).

No source. No documents. No video evidence. No testimony. Nothing, just a baseless report... yet one by one the other news agencies report that said outlet is reporting that _________. They of course fail to mention that the report was delivered completely baseless. People then claim that "it came from journalists".... in fact they are wrong... it came from a talking head reading a teleprompter. The person who wrote the report isn't even on record and remains nameless so there is zero credibility to this so called journalism. Do people recognize this as non journalism? No. Where there is smoke there is fire.... failing to understand that there isn't even smoke.

Later through intelligence comity hearings, or trials/tribunals, or said agencies that were reported as anonymously leaking their info deny ever having any information to support the report come to the surface but to the end of time people still believe the initial propaganda piece and repeat it til their dying day.

Society doesn't know the difference between journalism vs propaganda or click bait for monitory gain. We are (frank)ed....

- boonerbuck

Alot of people don't understand that when the government pays 600m to media to produce stories that support its narrative it's called propaganda and isn't credible.

But I'm still having fun debating 3 to 5 guys on the other thread in regards to this. Finally have some calmed down to a level that we can actually discuss singular issues.

From what I've read on rumor mills, is that there are teams interested, but want his AAV lowered by 1m. Canucks want an offer they feel is worth retaining that 1m.
- Retinalz

My feel is 1st they want the best most serious offer leading up to the TDL like they wanted for Bo. Then they might retain some if it gets a deal they can live with. 3rd would be it waits til the offseason.

If we retained 2m, we could probably get a couple 2nds or even a 1st for him. He is still highly productive with good advanced stats. He has warts to his game, but again he still produces. I think Boeser 1m retained for a 2023 2nd and 2024 3rd (Add a condition that it becomes a 2nd if blah blah blah) is around his value and a good deal for both parties.
- Retinalz

2-2nds might be the best hope if retaining. A 1st this year just doesn’t seem realistic. Being that Brock isn’t scoring like he’s paid but is putting up points without PP1 TOI makes it a tougher sell.

The best thing about this "discussion" is the truth is just around the corner (hopefully). When BB is traded we will see what value he has. If the return is great I hope you rub noses in it. If it's bad then be prepared to snort your own shit.

This is true but when a source is being protected from persecution, violence, loss of job etc etc... it's because they have released evidence that has been vetted before the report is published. There needs to be some transparency to their vetting.

Vetting a source's information is a big part of a journalists job. In the days of legit journalism, a source who wants anonymity and reveals something presents evidence that needs to be vetted and that was a huge undertaking that they had to complete before publishing/broadcasting. It's called credibility. Without that, it's not really journalism.

You can show you confirmed a report without revealing the leaker. I could give you endless examples. If you are shown nothing at all, only a fool calls it a fact.

Brough says wild and devils hard but more interested, Dhali says 6-7 teams, seravelli says 5+ teams. Did you think I just said my opinion like it was fact like some other posters on here

But don’t forget: he has no value -Boom -sandwich -Donny

Far more reputable

30 pts in 41 games = no value

At least this time you say they had a choice. Last time you said they had no choice.

Fact is Benning made a big mistake. Then this management made a bigger mess out of it instead of moving on. Now they are in repair mode on this... as Benning most like would have if he wasn't fired. I assume he wouldn't have agreed to give BB his qualifying amount either and a similar deal would have been made even though he had other choices.

In HB typical logic, *many(not all) here can only see it as saying Benning was not at fault when you explain how this group fkd up and they can only see it as Bennings fault after this group re-signed him.

I see it as one mistake piled on top of another when there were choices they failed to make. They are going to have to get a return that makes the signing look like a strategic advantage before I call it anything else other than a fk up....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh is expected to leave the Biden administration to run the National Hockey League Players' Association, according to two people familiar with his plans.

Looks like Fehr is being replaced with a good union man.
