Since the KC Scouts are no longer a team, I got to go the Flyers.

Parker, RHD for the Royals might be worth a late round gamble. His game has steadily improved over the last couple of months. Decent skating and puck moving. OK defensively but getting better. Reminds me a bit of Bear.

To a lesser extent, his D partner Kipke is worth a look. Bigger, a bit more snarl. But left side. So superfluous to our needs.

Ya don’t think boeser to Minny is gonna happen. They have too much cap hoops in the summer, so I’ve read.
- NewYorkNuck

Ya, that 14 miliion in dead Parise / Suter cap space hurts them a lot. Even if Dumba was their cap dump coming the other way I don't think they do it.

Sweet! That must have been a little hard to find.
Incredible album that gets so little respect because most don't have a clue about it.

I could have ordered it on the interweb, but I usually wait for the local record shop to get things. Pay a bit more, but service is much better.

Actually got Mad Season as well. They threw a bunch of new material on the reissue. Love the sound of Staley and Lannegan's voices on that record.

Another top notch album that most don't know exists. So much pain in that project between all the band members and their addictions.
Now you got me listening to Mindcrime at this moment...

Full circle, you and Lordy got me back into that album (Mindcrime). It's a masterpiece. I need to get Empire next.

Funny. I always thought if Spinal Tap was a real band, they would be queensryche. The sound, their antics on and off stage, the fights, law suits, etc. Just nuts.

Empire is a great album, way more polished, and incredible recording. if you want to test out a new stereo or speakers before buying, play "One and Only" and you will hear the quality. But Empire doesn't have the edginess or writing that Mindcrime has, especially since it is not a concept album like MC. It is like adult contemporary Queensryche for the sophisticated palette of metal listening.

Like most bands, every one has a life cycle. Queensryche was around for a long time. Produced incredible, completely unique music for the early 80's, Made 4 albums without really any commercial play in their debut, Queensryche, The Warning, Rage for Order, and Mindcrime. Then they put out Empire and hit it huge on the radio, and MTV. Big egos and swelled heads took over, Their guitarist and songwriter Chris DeGarmo left (became a commercial pilot like Bruce D!ckenson of Iron Maiden, very similar career paths), Geoff Tates voice started to fade, and the music and writing just lost its feel. Very few band can pull a Stones, or Slayer and stay relevant for decades. Now its just a name with a few original members.

Dude...how did you not have this record before? Top 5 Heavy Metal albums all-time period. The Capitol 180g reissue sounds kind of crappy compared to the newly remastered CD. Did you find an original pressing? Such a great, groundbreaking album...

TBH, don’t know a lot about the band. Over the years you just hear stories like how Tate was an absolute bumhole. I don’t know if that’s true or not but that’s what I would hear. What’s it with lead singers? It’s crazy how many great bands were destroyed by their lead singers. Amazing.
