I would be disappointed if it was only a third for Schenn. I think it would be a fail for mgmt. Has to be at least a second round pick.
- VANTEL

How is that a fail for management? If the best offer is a 3rd what should they do to appease you?

A couple of cartons of smokes and some poutine would probably do it.

LHD are the second most important players to have after wingers. It's how you build a championship team.

All I can say is I am glad that you guys don't run the team. If next year on Petey's expiring contract the best offer is a third round pick, you jump at it because it is the best offer? Anyone can chime in except Reuby, we already know what his response would be.

I'd be fine with a 3rd.
Or resign him if they don't like the offers.
No biggee.

If the best offer for Schenn is a 3rd, or he walks for nothing, you'd prefer the latter?

I think a 3rd is good return for a guy like Schenn. Why keep extending fringe players to get nothing in return? It doesn't rebuild anything.

Except Schenn over and over makes it clear he wants to stay and resign. If the Canucks don't want to resign him... take what you can... If the Canucks want him, he won't be walking.

He has said he wants to be here. You guys want another third round version of that Liquor guy?

I would take a3rd for schenn if that's the best offer.

If Petey says he won't resign after his contract expires then we trade him for the best available offer, period. I doubt it's a third but you take that if it's all that's offered.

Dermott got a third round pick, Schenn is a whole lot better than that clown.

Lots of players say they want to remain with their current team and it doesn't happen.
You want to maintain the status quo?
