Idk about that... Sure he could be well on his way to that, but to say he's there already is dismissive of his leadership, physicality that can change a game (and series as we all saw last spring), shot blocking and time crunching minutes.

All of those things you mentioned are great. Just no where worth $8m AAV. For a physical shot blocking defenseman you can pay $2.5m for that.
