Lol!!

They were better all-star games is what I was getting at. I just remember the compete level was still there back then cuz the were paying farmers like $3000 to play and not $13.5 million. So, the insurance companies are ruining the all-star game! 😂🤣

my theory is that you were younger back then and thus you were easily amused, compared to today... I remember enjoying the all-star weekend back when Patrick Roy was there, but I was like 10 years old loll.

There were no gimmicks back then. Just a battle against the rival conference.

It wasn’t like Thunderdome….but it had a way higher compete level than this G-rated embarrassment on every level.

I think there are ways to keep the skills competition interesting, but it's basically impossible to turn the all-star game into something that would actually be entertaining to watch, unless something significant was at stake like having home-ice advantage in the playoffs for example, which the league would never implement.

its a game in the middle of a slog of a season. its a chance for guys to relax, make new friends, or catch up with old ones and do something midly entertaining for kids.

if you ever get a jersey done I'm sure you won't opt for the same era/logo as him though...

il aime ça se promener librement avec son petit baluchon.

I'm actually not sure what the english equivalent for "baluchon" would be, how do you call that little bag he's carrying..?

a "bindle" kinda sounds like the cheap Amazon version of an actual hobo stick.

Bindle pretty much means "using a blanket as a bag"

Also, since it is used by hobos, shouldn't naturally sound cheap?

a hobo stick may not be as esthetically pleasing as a bindle but it's usually much sturdier, and is designed to withstand the harsh realities that sometimes come with living on the streets.

this is now the official distinction between the two.
