If you are trading that much for him as rumors mention then he is easily in your top 4 playing big minutes. - ImThatGuy
Why? One of our main problems now is getting our teeth kicked in when the third pairing is out. On the road we can't control who that line is playing against.

(and yes, load management) - Slump Buster
1. Replace Bryson with competent D-man
2. Don't play 3rd pair with the Mitts line
3. Profit

Because you don’t trade for a top pairing offensive d-man and play him 3rd line minutes?
You get Chiqorin and he’s playing top 4 5on5 minutes and playing on the power play as well.

On a good team I don't think he is a top pair D. I think the idea would be to give him 18 - 20 minutes a night. I don't know that he would even play on the PP - it would depend if he was better than the 4th forward on PP2 (Power doesn't come of that unit, of course).
I think the allure to him being here is that he would be that much more effective if he didn't have the weight on him. Also, by being on the third pair he could balance out the pairs so that the top pair doesn't have to play as much. If everyone's ice time is reasonable it is a big win across the board.

2 guys on 550 we're talking about trade
Not sure who they were
Chikafillnet
For
JJ
One of Russian picks
1st protected - Anderdog
I think his price is higher because his contract is very reasonable. That said, too rich for my blood (I also don't want to lose my fastest player). I go to Chicago and get Murphy instead.

Murphy would be cheaper to acquire for sure
Plays Rd style we would like
Unfortunately we don't have a say

Just hoping this is a Adams move
Not uncle terry - Anderdog
It wouldn't surprise me if Adams' sack gets bigger every day as his cred goes up. I also wonder if he sees that autonomy that Beane carved out and realizes that he should try to do the same.
If he's part of " the family"
Could it create a problem in the room
Is he telling things about pegula that shouldn't be known by teammates.
Or
Is he running to the big guy saying things that should stay in room - Anderdog
