did I say that?
if I was the coach I would have pulled 6k after the 4th goal when the team needed a shake up
probably most of the 32 nhl head coaches would have as well
just give adams and donnie another extension - homiedclown

I guess the bigger question, why is anderson on the roster then vs being on ir |

Sabres have at least a point in 8 of their last 11 games……
Wouldn’t know it by reading the blog today.
Lose one game and everyone has a mental breakdown
If they don’t win 2 out of 3 in Cali then I’ll start getting worried. - Swedish_Jesus
Or more relevant -
The Sabres have been absolutely manhandled two games in a row while their one star center looks obviously hurt, while the other star center is getting suffocated by two out of their element rookies. |

It's not that they lost, its that they gave up 7 straight goals and lost 7-2 and got completely out played from the 10 minute mark of the first period

They had 8 shots through 2.
Good teams don’t get outshot 35-8.
It just doesn’t happen.
The sad part is the 7-2 score was closer than it looked. |

I know "goalies aren't worth your cap" people will disagree, but it's a black hole for us now. It's what we need. I think we have enough scoring and prospects to fill in there. We have some horses on backend ( could use another decent guy back there), but pure questions at goalie - Fattony1187
Sure, but 8 shots in 2 periods tells me it's not just the goalie. If everything is going great and the goalie is killing us I'll agree. Shots were like 19-1 in the second at one point. Let's fix that before we look at the goalie |

Using a smaller sample size to disprove a larger sample size is “more relevant” ?
They have been on a playoff point pace since the commencement of the 8 game losing streak.
Jesus even New Jersey just want through a tough sled, it happens to everyone.
If Washington loses today, they are 4 points back with 3 games in hand.
And with that I’m out, ain’t wasting any more time on here today |

Not once.
So glad this is what they gave us after a 10 day break. |

Picked a good day to go to valvoline and spend 2 hours to get a friggin oil change.
Time for Girgs and Okie, you know those invaluable veteran leaders, to maybe have a discussion with the boys that vacation is over.
Counting their humilating last 2 games they had 12 days off...pissing away 2 games and 4 points.

It's what they're getting paid for, right? If we're going to say they're here for leadership then a game like this has to fall a bit on them as well, along with Granato. Your team wasn't ready to play today, why is that? Figure it out for the next game because other teams will start to pull ahead even more. |

Timmins would have been a nice little get about a month and a half ago, basically would have cost Murray. But we didn't know what we had in Fitz or Pilut yet. |

He did a good job, so far we have gotten some good results. Just getting Eichel out of the Locker room was a Win. Krebs still has a ways to go and Tuch has been Fabulous but can anyone really say they expected this with him. Give the Nerd crew credit there, but the chemistry the 1st line has built. No one could see that coming. Adams grade and how he's done will come from what he does over the next couple years. - Buff36
Seems strange that you're bending the vibes GM into a guy that gets lucky. Would have it been a bad trade if krebs and tuch sucked? Or more bad luck?
He did a good job
Gotten good results
Removing eichel was a win
Krebs still not a nhler
Fabulous, but no credit for expecting tuch to be good
Give credit elsewhere for the trade (nerds)
GM nor anyone else saw the top line coming together
Adam's will be judged on the future.
I think your 5 or 6 for 8. Not bad

I'm a fairly big girgensons fan and appreciate okposos leadership role.
This is an excellent post. Leadership should have these players focused on competing in front of a sell out crowd.
Team looked like it was on vacation still. |

What did everyone think coming off a 10 day break?
The flames have been playing games the last few days, the Sabres just got home and practiced
Sabres were rusty and couldn’t find their legs after the 1st period
Let’s all overreact. Just like how bills fans currently are

How long does the league have to stay in this poopty playoff format? Should be division winners get top 2 then points for the rest of the conference and seeded accordingly. Get it back to the way it was. It’s intuitively obvious. - Hatboro_Swords

Can't, might screw up the foundation and future - Buff36
You are kidding right? These two both should be in Rochester. It strikes me that they are being overwelmed. Yet the Sabres have chosen to pretend that these two are ready for the NHL. They are ok, on a third line, maybe. IMO they both would get more out of a playoff run in Rochester where they both would play on the first line where they belong until they develop into top six NHLers. But the Sabres don't have the horses to replace them other than with fourth liners. Said it before. Time for the Sabres to get of the pot and go for real shot at this year's playoffs. Won't do it with these two as your second line, IMO. |
