Man this city feel in love overnight with tuch
Meir is a better clone
If you could get him signed before trade
I am paying cost - Anderdog
Smart man.
He's a good package.
If he would take say ~$8m, that would great. Probably demand $9m.
But I also want to retain more Picks and Prospects, so willing to pay a higher salary for this type of player.

They have another (weird good) factor to weigh few other teams do: what % of their fan base want to watch Sid, Geno and Letang ride it out until retirement as Pens? 3 cups is 3 cups. There's a level of good will there we just know nothing about . - lacaprup
That's a good point. However, at what point does good will run out? That team hasn't sniffed playoff success since 2017 cup win. One series win since then, and that was 2018. How long does the good will last? There is always the old saying: if you're in the middle, you're nowhere.

It was a waaaaaaay different league back then. It's a young man's league now. I am trying to think of the last time a truly veteran team won. - Slump Buster
Boston is as of now cup favorites and their two best players are 37 and 34 years old
I don't think it's going to be Adam's style to build a team culture, get guys to sign very fair deals to us then trade for a dude and pay them more then those guys.
I am thinking he does a good but unspectacular move, to not deviate from his vision but show the guys that he believes in them. Maybe two 2nds for a dude. You can get a decent player nowadays for that cost
