Boeser trade coming, Ek says.
Coworker lives in BC follows the Nucks faithfully, and he says Brock is physically broken. He’s a shell of what he once was.

has he changed his tweeter to follow a different team?

Its funny because Chychrun literally said the other day he did take off the affiliation with the Coyotes because he wants to get traded.

He just did it in the offseason and nobody noticed.

Not sure.

Bunting plays well beside Matthews.

Zero clue on what bunting will get as a fa.

Crouse is doing well this but in the past he has been just a good 3rd line player.

We have seen guys like Kapanen not be able to elevate their games with elite players because of his north-south game.

My point is Dubas won't structure the cap to not give him an option to sign Bunting.

- Santo_44

Sure he will for the right player. If Crouse is a 3rd liner/top six tweener, then you’re right (although I’m not sure why we’re targeting him then). If they have a chance to get a stud LW and it means no Bunting at $4 or whatever, then enjoy Edmonton.

I’m not sure how much Bunting is worth given who needs to get paid in the next while anyway. Dubas does well finding guys for that spot.

If The Dubas is adding to forward group - no need to get a crazy pricey player (ROR, Kane, etc.)

Niederreiter - L2 Wing
Jenner - 3C

Pushes Jarnkrok to 3rd line with Jenner and Kampf in the 4 slot.

Bruins and Tbay have that depth where their 3rd line can contribute meaningfully. I think those 2 adds make the Leafs the same. Those are 2 good players to throw out as part of the 3rd line.

If Dman:

No need for the price of Chychrun or Karlsson…I would be tented to get McCabe though and he would be fairly pricey.

Schenn/Braun - someone that is physical and just plays a boring solid defensive game

If tender:

If not Saros or Demko - maybe the Coyotes Vejmelka.

Until Bunting gets 4M I won't believe it.

I think he signs a fair 5-6 year deal here or he goes somewhere else for a 1-2 year deal with good money.

I can't see how a team views him as a 60 pt player. He is a pesky 40-50PT guy that fits well next to Matthews. IMO

How can VAN be possibly buying out Garland then some team pay Bunting the same contract? And Garland at least drives a line when played next to meh players.

So how much does a guy who doesn’t have a particularly unique or high end set if skills mean to a team that’s got a lot of business to get done in the next few years? Keeping him would be nice but it’s not imperative and he’s going to be looking to cash in. He’s turning 28 and hasn’t made any money in his career. This is his one shot.

I don’t know who if, anyone, Dubas is looking to bring in on multi year deals but if they’re good, I can’t see how the prospect messing up a $2M or more raise for Bunting would stop him.

I don't think he is cashing in

highly doubt a team gives him more than Paul

I think most GMs would rather have Paul too

Cashing in as in maximizing the total dollar value of this contract. I don’t know what that will be but I suspect someone will pay him more than Dubas.

I think Dubas will be more willing to go with some term since there is a fit here.

Do not see a team giving him term.

When he hasn't played with Matthews he hasn't been more than a good 3rd line player thats annoying...if he signs 2 years somewhere his next contract could be a Jarnkrok contract.

There is value with going term and I think Dubas is willing to give it to him.
