Always big trades in the nba, good to see

Are the leafs playing this month?

- Fakepartofme

apparently they play the next 2 days in a row against the bottom feeder cbj
so expect 0-1-1

It kills me to say this, but isn't Max Domi the obvious choice?

Left wing/centre gives us the versatility we need.

Price tag will be reasonable.

Adds grit.

You know he wants to play here.

And he can replace Bunting next year when Bunting signs with the Oilers for $8M X 7 years.

- Atomic Wedgie

No, pass.
Outside of a year and a bit, hes been disappointing most of his nhl career.

your move NHL

*4th liner is traded .... we go nuts

- senstroll

NBA can afford a luxury tax system which makes trades a lot easier. Trades also tend to have bigger impacts. The rosters are smaller and individual players are more important - there aren’t 4th liner type equivalents. Also, players have more control. Durant says he wants out, he goes.

If that was a serious “why aren’t NHL trades like NBA trades” post, then yeah.

Kadri's inability to not do stupid things when the 'red mist' overtook him cost the leafs a lot and cost him his job in Toronto really. I like the fact he finally seems to have learned to control it better(the hit by Trouba and his reaction is a good example) but I am a bit sad he never managed to figure it out as a Leaf.

He had to go though, I don't know if he would have ever figured it out in Toronto.

I'm sure now that he has a cup he will come back to play for the Leafs when his current deal is up for pennies on the dollar right? Right?

Nah, with the up coming draft loaded with centers and with Suzuki and Dach progressing and Beck in the pipeline, Habs are in a good position center wise. Habs will look to add a RHD with offensive upside and a netminder.

I'm still not sure how we've all pronounced Kadri as having figured it out. He has had ONE playoff run in a row without getting suspended for a prolonged period.

I mean he may have figured it out by joining a team that won't make the playoffs (I would lay odds that Calgary does, but they are presently outside of a playoff spot - so I'm just making a joke)!

But seriously - go 2 or 3 years without being a total twatwaffle in the playoffs and I'd start to believe he's figured it out.
