But also they got a full season of Debrincat.

That's the issue.....we never go big and always go home. It's frustrating to see the teams around you, being able to add pieces that go beyond one playoff run and they keep them for years. Leafs? Trade draft picks and let players walk for nothing. Net impact, no high end draft picks in the bank, just 2nd and 3rd rounders. It's time for Dubas to either amp up and get it done, or take the long walk into the night.

Dubas traded for Muzzin, signed him to an extension (and did fairly well), Campbell was traded from and signed to a short extension and let walk when it cost too much (smart move), He traded for Gio and signed him to two years for super cheap and he's been great value. He does it on a continual basis and he can't sign every single guy he comes across.

Leafs have one of the top goals against as a team this year so what do you mean the defense isn't decent or that Dubas didn't build around it? let alone, Muzzin isn't playing so they are doing it without one of their top guys. So what you're asking for is likely a sideways move. You want some "big tough" dman who can help the team keep up their team defense but plays a different style then they do currently. Which is fine to suggest. Just suggest it instead of claiming the team is trash, dubas is trash and doesn't do what you refuse to see and acknowledge he does.
