What were the Blues thinking, that's an atrocious return.
- Komisaurus Rex

What are you expecting for a return? Id say it is fair. Maybe a little low for 50% retention with all the 1st rd conditions. STL will probably try flipping Blais for a late pick too.

He only put Dreger in after several posts about it and he was replying. He tried to take credit 100%. Also why play dumb about who Frank Seravalli is? He's replying to us saying things like he's not familiar with Frank with a stupid emoji and joking about Frank's connections. I'd like to know why he's refusing to acknowledge Frank. Because he's a far more reputable and successful form of competition?

Then he must be very connected indeed.
- Eklund

Yeah? I guess so? Dreger literally credited him. Still want to play stupid? I actually don't understand this reply at all. Why would you even say that? The guy clearly posted it before you and that's your reply? Shady as f***. All this guy does is monitor real insiders in twitter. And he's back to not giving credit to any source now. This guy's a joke.

"So another old winger to push Lafreniere down the depth charts. Smart."

Wake up! LAF has been back playing with Chytil & Kakko on their reassembled again for good, "KID line," which helped do your ancient age team in during Round One of last year's postseason, on the Rangers way to the E.C. Finals.

So regarding old age, your Pens rank likely in the top five oldest, & on their way (if not yet) to becoming the oldest average age team in the league. That in contrast to the overall younger rebuilt Rangers by former GM Jeff Gorton along with aid from former Pres. John Davidson, all of which current GM Chris Drury inherited. Let's see what Sullivan demands by the deadline to either result in your Pens becoming even older, or finally possibly realize the reality of their situation.

Wow! Nice for Rangers. Like Mikkola too. That's going to be a very low 1st rounder for the Blues either way. I think the Rangers get a slight win in this trade, even if it's just a rental. I expect them to still be playing deep into May.

Well thank you Rangers for taking this floater off our hands.. The guys brings some offensive potential and nothing else. No loss for the Blues. The Rangers may benefit short term but likely they will see he is one dimensional. UFA 2023.

You guys are pretty ruthless.
Ecklund never said he was saying it "first". The words "exclusively reporting first" never were mentioned in the blog.

"reports are....."

And he sited Dregger in his summary.

But that's the thing, he has loads of playoff experience. As a rental this is very good for the Rangers.

Who else should NYR have traded for? Kane doesn't play defense either. At least Tarasenko is heathy. I don't think STL was robbed, but it is solid value trade by Drury. Especially with all the 1st round conditions.

Blais is a contract dump that won't command much on the market, with the salary retention I expected a better prospect coming back.

They only need him short term. My guess is playing with Panarin will get his juices going. Guy can put the puck in the net. Getting him for nothing but a 1st rd pick, likely around 30, with salary retention and Blues taking Blais salary off their hands is larceny

I gotta agree. Seems light to me. Drury seemingly did well here. But as a NJD fan, I hope the move blows up in their face

Let me be frank here, if Marty Walsh indeed becomes the head of the NHLPA, I am done with the NHL.

So what? Does he work for Eklund? Living in the same area has nothing to do with not giving him credit or acknowledging him. Or is the insinuation that Eklund is giving Frank his tips? 😂 Cause I highly f***ing doubt that.

I’m not dishonest about the Pens, they definitely are not a legit cup contender this season and they are pretty much are on a farewell tour for the next few years. I’m fine with that, they delivered on the hype and more.

But I won’t budge on my position that the best thing for the rangers would be to unlock the potential of Kakko and lafreniere. Getting limited ice time, and next to no power play time is retarding their development. They overvalue veterans like Krieder. Will see how this works out for your team short and long term, I suppose

Lol. Ek had every cbig player going to the rangers - except Tarasenko. Then Tarasenko gets traded there and he claims he was first and knew it all along! Classic!

Lies lies and more lies. The hawks wanted too much for Kane…yet Kane had not even told them he was willing to be traded yet.

And how many of us in here said Kane was injured all the while Ek was saying a trade was imminent!

Keep the lies coming Ek!

Well, if you can go to the butcher and get a busted up cow you should be able to buy any busted up stuff.
