It’s pretty crazy we got rid of 2 players we all hated the most in Blais and Hajek and got a bonafide RW we desperately needed. Yea you never want to trade 1sts but we got another one anyway. And we did the trade a month before the deadline so we get an extra 10 games with Tarensenko. Just wild to me. I thought the blues would wait till the deadline for the biggest bidder - TPC
I think the fact that Tarasenko controlled where he wanted to go limited the options for St. Louis. |

Plus they kept Othmann, Cuyle and Kravtsov. |

Id say theres a very good chance we resign Mikkola too so our 3LD woes are hopefully gone for a few years. |

That was me. I am happy to eat crow. I have no freaking idea why STL did that. The guys in the freaking ECHL - picklerick
Its just weird I remember a year or 2 ago, his name came up in several trade rumors. It was obviously a long shot but Im glad Drury managed to pull it off. |

Honestly, keep him down and accrue the cap space if only playing him less than eight minutes a night |

Well then we definitely need one or 2 more smaller moves. I have a hard time believing some combo of Krav, Goodrow, Gaut, Leuksh is gonna be our 4th line |

Well lets see how he plays for us first. He could be the needed upgrade over Harpur, but he could also be Nemeth 2.0 Just have to wait and see.
I am really curious what the future holds for Gauthier and Kravstov. Are they in this teams plans for the remainder of the season and beyond, or are they the bait that brings us back someone like Jeannot? |

At this point, unless theyre bringing someone back they can resign, Id rather they try to see if they can pull a late 1st or early 2nd round pick. |

Late to the party, but love this move! Rangers needed a sniper so badly.
Will be interesting to see where he slots on the powerplay. Just watched a reel of his PP goals, and he sets up where Mika does. Weird with him being a LH shot. I’m sure he will be just a lethal on the right side. Well done Drury, guy comes up clutch. |

Here we were, ready to lose our ass on a trade and all we lost was a 1st round pick. |

I want to know what Bread’s reaction to the news of the trade was. |

So does Blais go down as one of the biggest Rangers busts of all time? |

It really depends on expectations, I never expected him to be more than a 3rd line guy. When he was healthy he kind of met what I expected but the injury pretty much ruined him. |

Wonder if Drury and Armstrong have a deal in place for either Accairi or Barbashev. But can’t do it until we have enough space. Just something to ponder🤷🏻♂️since both kind of fit what we’re doing |

Yea salary wasn’t high either so that factors in. But man he didn’t even look like an nhl player most games with us. Zero goals in his rangers career. Also fell over after he threw most of his hits lol. Just didn’t work at all |

Possibly his expectations of himself were exceeding what he could do, trying beyond his skill set. |

No!
Scott Gomez and Bobby Holik come to mind instantly and I'm sure I could come up with some more if I really thought about it for awhile.
Blais was certainly underwhelming as a Ranger, but I blame POS Subban for ruining him!
Edit: Dylan McIlrath was drafted instead of Tarasenko and he was FAR worse than Blais! |

Barbashev is at $2.25 mil, Rangers projected to have maybe $1.6 mil, so St. Louis would have to eat salary. All depends if the move ROR and/or anyone else and retain salary. |

I think thats it with STL, maybe Acciari but not Barbashev. I can still see the Lafferty deal happening. |

I swear every time I am too busy at work to post here or check in on news, the big TDL poop happens. This came out of nowhere and is the perfect move. Really looking forward to the game tomorrow night. |

I read through a lot of it.
My father of all people broke it to me while I was beginning my OT between 4 and 5pm. Hours later. |
