I love it.

I didn’t realize Tarensenko had 82 points in 75 games last season. Makes me more hopeful maybe his slower start is more of a team wide thing

Rangers can’t stop posting Tarensenko posts on their social media page. Not one mention of Mikkola though lol

Nice for Kakko to finally have another Finn on the team. Not sure if players really care about that but always felt it was a mistake not having a veteran Finn on the roster his rookie year.

No Ranger has ever scored as many playoff goals as Tarasenko. Absolute money in the playoffs.

One reason *possibly* why the return was low was bc no one else has been willing to give up a 1st this year yet?

I did hear that from the insider guys on the radio, teams will be very reluctant to give up their ‘23 firsts. But we had 2 so the rich got richer haha

The return was so low casue he only wanted to go to the Devils, Islanders or Rangers.

I think somebody will trade a #1 for Chychrun and one will go for Meier, maybe even two for him.

The team acquiring Meier will be giving up a lot (hopefully).

Meier will probably command a roster player as well.

chances are extremely good that either the Rangers or Dallas will make conference finals, and if that happens the pick going to St Louis is either 29, 30, 31 or 32

like last year #30 overall went to Winnipeg for Copp

Tarasenko is one of the most over rated players I have ever seen.

He has seam passing ability. He tries to slow the game too much, especially now that he has lost a step so he cannot accelerate quick enough to create space or seperation.

As far as shooting goes hard wrist shot that takes nearly two seconds to get off. He's always wanting the perfect pretty snipe so a clip over half his shots go high or wide. He has to dust off passes. What is incredible is that even after over a two count with the goalie fully set and this is mostly power play, his shot while stopped is still difficult for the goaltender.
If he ever learned more than one deek or his slow down stutter step he would have been great.
He would have scored over fifty if he shot the puck when it wasnt clean and perfect on his stick. Finally has a onetimer. It's not very strong but he can score with it bc goalie is not set.

pretty unappreciative stuff considering he's scored 41 career playoff goals including 11 the year you guys won the Cup.

When the Rangers traded Adam Graves in 2001 I certainly wasnt trolling Sharks blogs telling them how overrated he was.
