Islanders falling faster than a safe out of a window!

GREAT win tonite!
2nd of back to backs, on the road, against a premiere rested team, starting our backup goalie and we put up a 6 spot! WOW! Doesn't have to be pretty but lets take the 2 points and get out of town.

On to Vancouver!

In order of preference:

Gavrikov
Jeannot
Lafferty

Lets see what Drury can do in the next 3 weeks!

- TommyGTrain

You can forget about Gavrikov. Unless you feel like trading another 1st round pick, Jeannot isnt happening either.

Lafferty is the likely move we make, maybe Bjugstad.

Drury works magic sometimes. I’m rooting hard for Jeannot. I think that’s the kind of player they’re looking for. Blais’ game but one that can score in NYR jersey I can’t believe he scored

Zac Jones and Kravtsov for Jeannot just get it done we can probably afford Jeannot next year

Jones and Krav hardly have any value, no chance they pull Jeannot.

I think Kravtsov has value, just not to the Rangers.

I guess if they can get value out of Hunter Skinner, they should easily get something for Krav.

Really curious as to why Tarasenko is only getting 13mins TOI in his first 2 games. Kinda limited for a star player.

New system, letting him adjust. I’m 0 percent worried about it

I wonder if Drury can call Doug Armstrong and we can pry Ivan Barbaschev for the right ask. Maybe Kravtsov can be the piece and we have st louis eat half the salary. A center and a beast! 4th line could be Gautheir, Barbaschev, Goodrow. 3rd line Panarin, Trocheck, Vesey, 2nd line Lafreniere, Chytil, Kaako and 1st line
Kreider, Zibanajed, Tarasenko. I can see this group raising Lord Stanely in June!

that was such a statement win, the key to that win was that penalty kill when Panarin took the penalty with around 9 minutes left, that was just mastery

wonder how soon Carolina responds with a big trade, we have to be getting in their heads at this point

Really big win. Very frustrating 2nd period but they flipped it in the third. Gallant was able to get some magic from the Panarin "demotion".

that 2nd period is what they do to everybody who comes into their building.

But our coach ADJUSTED and found the right formula to make it happen.

Just like he did in the playoffs vs that team last year.

Jordan Staal is a shutdown monster. I wonder what it would take to add him for a year as a FA?

faceoff master too

I don't think he'll be on the bargain rack this summer, he's still capable of getting a nice 3 year deal from someone

the X factor with Kravtsov's trade value is the very real fear that he'll just go back to Russia if he doesnt like where he was traded though

Definitely.
I just don't get how he doesn't a) deserve more of a chance to prove himself and b) isn't exactly the fit we need to solidify the line up.

I think everybody saying that it's crazy that Leschysyn played instead of Kravtsov last night is ignoring that Jake took 13 faceoffs (7-6) in a game Mika got roasted on faceoffs

He's so weak on his skates and the puck though... And doesn't have enough high end speed or finishing ability to make up for it. It's unfortunate for him and his development, but we're clearly in win now mode and it just sucks for kravtsov due to where he is in his development currently.

I think kravs stays in NA if the team commits to playing him more than 4 games straight. They just need a cost controlled player back in return. Not a rental

I think it would be a good idea to improve upon him before March 3rd.

But blaming Jake for Kravtsov not playing is silly.

Kravtsov is not a 4th liner.

The rangers, now w/Tarasenko, have 3 legit lines no matter who is on them really. Any given night the minutes could be higher or lower for whoever. So I don’t think that was a “demotion”, instead more like looking for the right mix. They had zero shots on net the prior 11 minutes before the did that

GG pulled out a miracle last night because on paper they have no business even winning that game, and they end up blowing them out
