I agree with you. Someone whos under contract next year, but also under 2 million bucks is someone ideal imo. Lafferty for example. He makes a lot of sense, because imo it’ll be a Blais like player (one who can hopefully score a goal at some point lol)

The biggest thing for me is you can’t trust him. He has already bolted for Russia once and asked for a trade the next offseason. You don’t move him now there is always a chance he bolts again in the summer and then all the value is gone. Think it’s just time to cut ties, this coaching staff doesn’t trust him fully to play him

Going through the whole list of players that become FAs in 2024, only Lafferty and Raddysh fit the bill.

I said it 2 years ago when we also had Nils. If youre not gonna use them, trade them when value is at its peak. However they inexplicably sit on these prospects, for what... I dont know. Fortunately we managed to recoup a 1st for Nils, which in turn gave us the flexibility to get Tarasenko. This Kravtsov situation though, unnecessarily ugly and complicated... partially on the organization as well as on Kravtsov.
