Because they don't have to, like last year. - JRR1285
You're absolutely right. But like with Lias Andersson, in my opinion why have a disgruntled player just hanging around. |

GG is not the first coach to try that cutesy "i'm gonna put a role player with my elite players" galaxy brain poop. Fast, hunt, blais, vesey, goodrow, etc - picklerick
It's been a staple here for like a decade it seems. |

Because Lias actually sucked. I don't think the org wants to separate from Kravs yet. |

Well I mean this brings us full circle with Kravtsov. Not all Gallant's fault obviously since Kravtsov was being a baby, but he kept Hunt in the lineup and played him with Panarin over Kravtsov. That's just (frank)ing bizzaro poop right there. - JRR1285
Because Hunt, with all his deficiencies, knew how to get into defensive position and limit HDCF!!!!
This broken record needs a new needle!!! |

Fast and Vesey are/were fine. They don't score like I'd like. But they are at least +++ defensively. Goodrow and Blais, eh not so much. |

Trocheck should be that guy now tho, the defensive mind on the line. Strome was a liability with that which is why Hunt was there most likely
Hopefully Tro and Bread can build off last game because that was first time all year it was like that |

And he should have been doing that in a bottom 6 role. Hunt should never sniff top 6 mins unless half the team died. |

What if I told you that Trochek isn't the defensive stalwart on that line, but Vesey is. |

but, you want Vesey moved off that line, put onto 4th line and Kravtsov on 3rd though right?

This is why I understand and accept the current lineup. Vesey is buzzing, he needs more than 4th line minutes. |

these guys keep saying its Leschysyn or Kravtsov and the coach is making a dumb decision
but it's Vesey or Kravtsov, thats my whole point they are avoiding

What if I told you Kravtsov has solid defensive metrics too?
Moving Vesey downs makes the 4th line better, moves Goodrow to center. Why is this:
1. So hard to grasp?
2. Bothering so many people?
I do not understand. |

Look at it like this..your 2 pairs, Kreider and Zib (it’s how they play best, together) and Trocheck and Panarin start together, with the kid line it’s own thing. And the other 3 RWs are gonna be juggled, really no matter who. This is going to happen often depending on the game/opponent
If you look at it like that, maybe it makes more sense. Like Jan likes to say, “crutch”.
He almost has 3 crutches that way:
the two duo pairs
and the kid line.
To me that’s when the rangers are at their best, lining up that way |

I'm torn because I understand both sides. But Vesey isn't to be wasted with 8 mins a night. If he were playing worse I'd change my mind. |

I agree it makes the 4th line better but unless their minutes go up it's a bit of a wash. |

I don't think they are happy with Goodrow at center, if you notice, he has barely taken any faceoffs the last month

Please don’t 😔with my EYES I’ve seen Trocheck make ridiculous backchecks to save goals, now and vs us last year. I don’t wanna hear it |
