Simple fact is they won the Canes game. It was the third game in 4 nights, traveling after playing the night before, facing a well rested Canes team. And they just happen to be the best team in the Metro. Anyone who has a problem with that game.....

True. Arguably the best defensive minded forward. Rangers do a much better job limiting scoring chances when he's on the ice vs when he's off ice.

All I know after watching hockey for 40 years is there will be games they deserve to win and won't, and games they deserve to lose and win. I don't get hung up on individual games, got to look how they play as a whole. And lately they have been playing pretty damn good. Its not just Shesty bailing out a not so great team. I'm excited I don't care what anyone says

It doesn't. It takes into account that he was on the ice 7 shot attempts for/19 against. 3 scoring chances for/9 against. 0 high danger chances for/6 against.

And Jim is right that Kravtsov has absolutely no one but himself to blame for not taking the spot away from the guy on a PTO for roughly the league minimum. Or any of the other RW's that were apparently not good enough for us to stay with the same line up.

All sides are at fault on Kravtsov. The player for not staying here last year and going to Hartford and the organization for not recognizing the problems at hand and managing through it. Broader issue is another first round forward that has failed here. He needs a new start, but as Brooks noted, that doesn't mean you just give him away. The cap hit is small enough to retain.

Leschyschyn is fine - for now - but he is not someone you want in the lineup continually down the stretch or in the playoffs.

To be fair Vesey looks more like a middle 6 player than the 4th liner we all thought they were getting. He clearly has the drive Kravtsov seems to be lacking.

It's a similar situation as to what Lafreniere and Kakko at times have experienced. There is no spot for Kravtsov to develop right now.

Thats the thing though. I expected a not so great game. Had a bunch of games, traveled, back to back, rested Canes team... They just needed to find a way to win and they did. It was the Halak/Panarin show. Now if every game looked like that, I would say the Rangers are in trouble.
