I know. But if the money isn't crazy he is someone I would keep. You need those type of guys.

I agree but I don't think his salary is going to stay static at I believe 3mil.

only 10 against because our shots were going in. If carolina goalie makes more saves, we'd have more attempts

I just don’t get how this definition applies to role players:

“The stats I used are goals, primary assists, secondary assists, shots on goal, blocked shots, penalty differential, faceoffs, 5-on-5 corsi differential, 5-on-5 goal differential.”

They also state that the stat should be used to find “who the best player of the night is”. I think even a casual fan of hockey would know that the third and fourth line aren’t comprised of players trying to be “the best player of the night.”

Unless they’re captured in in Corsi, it lacks skills like hits, faceoffs, takeaways, giveaways, taking penalties, drawing penalties, forechecking, back checking, to name a few.

Hockey Stat cards takes into account penalties drawn and taken. It's not perfect. But it's better than nothing.

The money is $3m with no NMC. I don’t want him to go either but the cap space has to come from somewhere

the Rangers only had 10 shot attempts in 3rd period.

But, if the carolina goalie makes more saves, chances are we'd get more rebounds, and have more total shot attempts.

It's almost like advanced stats hate when we actually score goals

Well then I would argue that their shooting sucked that period and should not factor into the deserve to win-o-meter.
- JRR1285

That's fair. I'm not arguing the Rangers didn't played better in the 3rd period. They did. All I said is if Halak is merely average, they probably get smoked.

So....Kane still a possibility for NYR, IF..
Send Gauthier to AHL, get a 3rd team in mix to pick up another 25% of Kane contract to go along w/ Chi. picking up 50%.

Vesey could go down to 4th line

Panarin Zib. Tara/Kane
Laf Chytil Kakko
Kreider Trocheck Tara/Kane
???? Goodrow Vesey

Not too shabby

Kravtsov for Puhljarvi(with retention because they’d have to) are we doing that?

Slavin is like their second goalie. I don't think I have ever seen a defenseman save so many goals.

Halak has been great. I really thought they were (frank)ed after watching him play the first few months.

It’s nearly impossible for him to be on the team next year imo

Idk really? It’s a very similar situation. Pool party just makes 3 million bucks lol

Both guys would probably benefit for the changes of scenery

It’s 15 teams he’ll waive too, or 15 he won’t agree too, either way he isn’t impossible to trade

Well I hope he stays, Lindgren that is. I'm sure Fox can play with anyone, he's that good. but him and Lindgren have been playing together for awhile. I think they were even partners in the WJC.

And I know people don’t want to hear it, but a goodrow buyout they GAIN 200k next year. 100k the following years. Believe it or not that could be massive
