I think I must be watching a different game. Through 2 periods, Ristolainen has a CF% of 26.09%. SCF% of 27.27%. Not exactly a stellar game. That's the good news. The bad news is the other defenseman and the majority of the team are worse. The Flyers effort today is pretty pathetic overall.

The Flyers through two periods have only attempted 13 shots on net. They have 4 scoring chances in the entire game. They've given up 23. An embarrassing effort by the entire team.

Yes, any attempted shot counts, whether is blocked, misses the net or hits the net.

I didn't post Seattle's shot attempts. Only the Flyers. Seattle attempted 56 shots in the game, but only 5 in the 3rd period. Overall shot attempts were distorted due to score effects with Seattle basically stopping to play in the 3rd. Shot attempts in the 3rd period were 20-5 Flyers. Overall totals for the game were 56-33. So, when I made the post, shot attempts after two periods were 51-13 Seattle.

51-13! That sounds more like what I was seeing. I misunderstood…you were talking about scoring chances when you said the Flyers had given up 23

I think it has become apparent there is no one on the roster to pair with DeAngelo at even strength. So does the offense he generates enough of an offset for the defensive liabilities? I woud think not especially considering the cap hit.

I think it has become apparent there is no one on the roster to pair with DeAngelo at even strength. So does the offense he generates enough of an offset for the defensive liabilities? I woud think not especially considering the cap hit.

Angelo is a mismatch for both the other Flyers defenseman and the style that the Flyers play under Tortorella. They simply don't play with the puck enough or play aggressively enough offensively to off set Angelo's flaws. Just another in a long line of awful and poorly thought out acquisitions by the Flyers GM.

None here...as of this point. Just bad play
