That fumble return really hurt. Also Philly D did not stop KC when they needed. That’s the game.

Epic choke job by the defense. Andy called a hell of a game. That flag shouldn’t be thrown in a million years.

No doubt. Defense came up very small. Not one big play made by the defense. After the Eagles tied it up at 35. You knew the Chiefs were going to score again.

Ehhhh...talking heads said it was pretty consistent with how they called it during the season. I know it's shocking that a league has refs remain consistent during the playoffs.

Also, Bradley, the guy it was against admitted in the press conference he made the hold and just hoped the ref let it go. Sadly they didn't.

Also heard that Sirianni used all his best stuff in the first half and then Reid used his in the second half. Those back to back stop/return TDs to Toney and Moore were pretty smart.

Super fun game and hey...Hurts now has a chip on his shoulder for next season!

I thought it was funny no one wanted to hire the DC or was that sarcastic?

If you really don't like him the good news apparently the Cardinals want to interview him/hire him for the HC job.

It was a ticky tack call…did it cost them the game ? No . The D did that . As far as what they called all season? They hadn’t called it all night…tonight…lol. What the call did was end the game….it would have been great to see if they could have been able to March down the field. I do agree that thevEagles were out coached on the defensive side of the ball. Gannon had a great season but had a very poor game tonight.

The Eagles D was very good this year….and Gannon does deserve a certain amount of credit for that. I think he’ll end up leaving for the Cardinals unless tonight’s game. Hurts his chances….which it might.

He better hope not

It was a good game. Some minor mistakes were all the difference. KC played a pretty clean game except a few penalties.

It's funny how everyone is pointing the finger at the DC after basically praising him all year. Perhaps the Eagles played a real offense in this game that was able to make the proper adjustments at half time. The Eagles had a pretty cushy ride to get to the SB in reality. I mean, they beat the fraud Gnats and the Niners with their 4th string QB. The penalty call at the end was a bit soft cause they seemed to be letting them play all night, but the player that was flagged admitted after the game that he had held the WR coming out of his break and he was hoping that they would let it go.

I think I must be watching a different game. Through 2 periods, Ristolainen has a CF% of 26.09%. SCF% of 27.27%. Not exactly a stellar game. That's the good news. The bad news is the other defenseman and the majority of the team are worse. The Flyers effort today is pretty pathetic overall.
- MJL

So you finally admit Risto is the Flyers best defenseman ...

Angelo is a mismatch for both the other Flyers defenseman and the style that the Flyers play under Tortorella. They simply don't play with the puck enough or play aggressively enough offensively to off set Angelo's flaws. Just another in a long line of awful and poorly thought out acquisitions by the Flyers GM.
- MJL

Wait .. so you are saying the Trot's style is for the Flyers to not play with the puck?? The bottom line is the Flyers can't skate with fast teams, and the Kraken are one of the fastest teams in the league. The Flyers don't have the foot speed to compete with teams like this, period!

Forget about the miracle of the Flyers being close to a .500 team, the real miracle of the century was in the game last night, where I watched the fraud Mahomes scamper down the field for 25 or so yards while he couldn't make it to the sidelines at the end of the half. Its a late Christmas miracle everyone!

One a serious note, very sorry Philly fans, I was rooting for the Eagles and really thought they had it. Defense was poor in the 2nd half, but I thought with all that possession time in the first half, the Eagles offense should have put up more points since you know they would need them as the game tightened at the end. As good a game as Hurts played, that fumble-6 kept KC in the game.

That was a crap holding call by a crap official of a super-crap league! That play happens every single time, and that official decides to call it right there? Also, there is discretion is the pass is uncatchable, which on that play the pass was clearly uncatchable. The flag should have been picked up IMO!

The Flyers didn't hire Trotz. The result of Tortorella's style is that the Flyers don't play with the puck enough. If you're saying that by me supporting and using the facts, that I'm delusional, then yes I am. You thinking that I am, is not something that I need to be the least bit concerned about. It's not about speed, it's about talent and system.

I think the system is dictated by the talent you have on the roster. The Flyers lack the talent, and part of the talent they lack is speed. Another part of the talent they lack is the ability to shoot the puck and finish off a play. I think the Flyers play the only system they can play given their roster. The roster was constructed by Fletcher, not Torts, so its Fletcher that should be accountable for what Torts has to deal with game after game. Torts has gotten every last ounce of blood from this team, so blaming his system is just pointless. Now with that said, why Torts refuses to put his fastest and most skilled players on the ice in 3 on 3 is beyond me, that he deserves criticism for.

It was not a pass interference call. It was a defensive holding call. Whether the ball was catchable or not is irrelevant. It was a penalty.

That it's the only system the Flyers can play is simply not the case. Please support that opinion with the facts on Tortorella's system and why it is the only system they can play. Talent is not a sufficient explanation for that. I keep reading how Tortorella is a miracle worker as the Flyers have lost 32 out of 55 games.

You beat me to it. Catchable/uncatchable is only relevant on PI calls, so that doesn't come into play here. And again, the player admitted to committing the infraction, so not sure where the beef is. I also disagree that Mahomes is a poser. High ankle sprains are all they are cracked up to be and they take a long time to heal. I'm guessing that he was in serious pain after that tackle at the end of the half and he gutted it out. Both QB's played great games, but Hurts made that one error that you can't afford in big games. The Chiefs made adjustments at halftime and the Eagles never got their bearings again on defense. The ref DID NOT cost them the game.

Iggles fans keeping quiet about that second fumble return for a TD which while I agree was the right call, could have gone either way.

The refs did not decide the game. It wasn't the refs that allowed a record breaking punt return.

As for the high ankle sprain. That is the most painful injury I have ever received and I have had broken bones all over my body. They probably pumped Mahomes full of so many pain killers during halftime he couldn't feel the ground with one of his legs.

So do you think if Yeo was coaching this team they would have the same record?

How does saying that Tortorella has done a better job than Yeo, who was a terrible coach, which you argued with me about. Support that Tortorella is a miracle worker who should be the Jack Adams award winner according to you?
